i liked the demo for rayman legends but i honestly couldn't get into rayman origins for the life of me played the first couple stages then the game has been collecting dust ever since..i heard it got better later but platformers are one genre where it should definitely capture you from the get go which this game failed miserably to do..then to hear folks saying it is the best 2d platformer in years much less this gen i was like wtf?!

well nsmb fails the whole game imo of bringing you into it. While rayman brought me and many others into instantly, with more inspired artstyle music and gameplay.

I had the same impression at first.

Only played the first few jungle levels and thought it was waay too easy with basically no enemies etc.
Trust me it gets a lot better once you get out of the jungle (which should only need 30min anyway as these levels are pretty short.)

It's definitely worth it.

The Legends creator said weeks ago that a PS360 version would only be possible with dumbed down graphics, he not ruled out a port but said that nobody working on it.

I don't think that Ubisoft expect more than 400.000 to 500.000 sales for Rayman on Wii U.

Turning the resolution down to 720p should easily be enough.

I don't see why you should be worried. As the consumer surely the only concern is whether the game is any good or not; that appears to be the case.

As for everything else, well, it's more than likely to be ported, but sales of around 600k LT for the WiiU seems about right.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

It will be a masterpiece. That's what matters for us, gamers.
Two more plays and my demo is over.
March 1st can't come soon enough. My shining Wii U is ready.

And, by the way, "Doesn't matter since WiiU is dead on arrival"... not nice. :/

1.Rayman isn't a good game.

2.Who Would buy Rayman over Mario?

lol Rayman Origins is one of the best 2D platformers of all time.

And you don't need to hear it from me (that's my favorite genre and I played most of the 2D platformers released on the market since 1988), you just have to read some review.

Close your browser and go play (or buy, if you haven't bought it yet) some Origins. :)

still dont have the wii u... do you think rayman legends is better than nsmbu?

While I agree that Rayman Origins is a great game I personally believe it was overratted.  Donkey Kong Country Returns and the old school Marios beat it at pretty much every turn.  The design, the controlls, the levels ect..  I mean don't forget, most of the reviewers who reviewed the game were playstation or Xbox reviewers.  On IGN it was always very strange to have (I believe it was) Colin sit and rave about the game with things that are all in DKCR and act as if it has never been done before.

However I would recomend it, it is fantastic and one of the best 3rd party 2D platformers to ever come out.

I might wait to see if it gets ported...didn't enjoy the touchscreen elements in the demo...added a 'cut the rope' feel to the game I couldn't take to (but I really liked origins)

Origins had a really slow start on all systems and reached decent levels thanks to all out support from the press. Actually the French press pushes Legends at every possible occasion saying it's gonna be far superior to NSMBU so I might do better this time. But the mario monopoly is stronger than ever on WiiU so NSMBU could very well hurt Legends' sales nonetheless.
