However I would recomend it, it is fantastic and one of the best 3rd party 2D platformers to ever come out. |
how many numbers do you expect?

What holds the future of Rayman Legends? | |||
| Rayman Legends will do good on Wii U | 106 | 60.92% | |
| Ubisoft will port it for Sony and MS | 57 | 32.76% | |
| Doesn't matter since WiiU is dead on arrival | 11 | 6.32% | |
| Total: | 174 | ||

Oh that is painfully difficult to predict. Looking at it from a new console perspective It could potentially do amazing. Think Rayman 3D for the 3DS. Everyone agrees it was a pretty poor port but it sold more than Rayman origins for the PSV and 3DS combined. Having a game at launch can potentially drive huge numbers if done correctly.
Also, contrary to belief here I think NSMBU would increase its sales, not decrease it. After its been out for over a year people will start looking at the next great 2D platformer. The genre is making a comback and I think that a Nintendo console has the most potential to bring back full retail, $60 2D AAA platformers.
in the end, I think it could reach after a long lifetime, and if Ubisoft continues to push and market it throughout the liftime of the Wii U and if it gets simillar reviews to Rayman Origins (that's a lot of ifs, I know).......It could potentially reach 2 - 2.5 million. If it lacks any one of those elements, then LTD will be around 1.25 million.
In the end, it will live and die by its legs. Its front sales will be almost pitiful but it will manage to pull some decent numbers. I think the best thing to compare it to would be skylanders. Look at its sales on the Wii and you'll get a vision of Rayman Origins (or so I hope.).

eh, more or less. I'm optimistic by nature but I've been right about things like these more often than not. I don't ask anyone but myself to believe though. The saddest part is that I'll probably forget this prediction 3-4 years from now.
Despite the fact that I'm not the biggest fan of Rayman, I am a huge fan of 2D platformers and I hope to god the AAA 2D platformers start really making a comeback. There's plenty of room for them and honestly I miss having huge releases for games like that. If Sonic starts getting its act together, Rayman continues with its level of quality, Nintendo continues making platformers like DKCR, Kirby's Epic Yarn, Kirby's return to dreamland, WarioLand shake it and so on I think I will be very happy ^^.
BTW, who else wants a Link's Epic Yarn?

Not me. Zelda has never been a 2D side scrolling game.
But I'm all aboard a new top-down 2D Zelda title with nice graphics and good exploration.
Please excuse my bad English.

buh...buh....buh *cries*. But who cares if its not (and BTW Zelda II was one but I've never played it). What I meant was, imagine the Epic Yarn Franchise expanding into all different sorts of big Nintendo franchsies. Mario's Yarn, Link's yarn, Yoshi's yarn (that would work brilliantly. I just loved the idea of the game so much I would kill to see it again, whether with kirby or with other franchises.
Not to mention that it wouldn't delay any of the other Zelda games because it would be developed by good feel and Hal Lab. they're awesome :3.

I don't know.
Don't get me wrong, that style did wonders with Kirby, but I just can't imagine Mario or Link like that. And Yoshi already has their own hand-drawn style with the Yoshi Island games.
Maybe a new version of the Ice Climbers now that Nintendo has looked to their old games (Kid Icarus) to bring them back could work, and that would mean not overexposing their other characters.

Yes......That would be awesome. Honestly, I don't care which franchise, I just want to see the yarn style again.
I hope Legends makes at least 500K. I'm defiantly getting it!
Playing Xenoblade 2 before I buy Xenoblade 3 (otherwise I couldn't wait to play 3).
Can they announce a new Fire Emblem? A remake of Genealogy or Tellius would suffice !

I'm worried that it will be a bad game more than the sales, the game forces you to use obnoxious touch controls unless someone else is doing them ALA co-op. It hurts gameplay, at least from what I have seen.
