BTW, who else wants a Link's Epic Yarn?

Not me. Zelda has never been a 2D side scrolling game.

But I'm all aboard a new top-down 2D Zelda title with nice graphics and good exploration.

buh...buh....buh *cries*.  But who cares if its not (and BTW Zelda II was one but I've never played it).  What I meant was, imagine the Epic Yarn Franchise expanding into all different sorts of big Nintendo franchsies.  Mario's Yarn, Link's yarn, Yoshi's yarn (that would work brilliantly.  I just loved the idea of the game so much I would kill to see it again, whether with kirby or with other franchises.

Not to mention that it wouldn't delay any of the other Zelda games because it would be developed by good feel and Hal Lab. they're awesome :3.

I don't know.

Don't get me wrong, that style did wonders with Kirby, but I just can't imagine Mario or Link like that. And Yoshi already has their own hand-drawn style with the Yoshi Island games.

Maybe a new version of the Ice Climbers now that Nintendo has looked to their old games (Kid Icarus) to bring them back could work, and that would mean not overexposing their other characters.

hopefully they wont make ice climbers like minecraft...

how about a realistic graphics for ice climbers?

but being ported is bad for nintendo right?

It is only bad if they don't know how to make the announcement.

They can go the logical path... after releasing this game for Wii U in march, announce it as a 720p port for PS3 and 360 (porting to another new console make less sense) during E3 (june) when most of the Wii U owner had the oportuninty to buy it and don't confirm price till a later date, and then release it in october at 40 dollars, around the same price that the WiiU version should be at that time.

Or they can go the crazy EA way... a few days before selling the Wii U version, announce that they are going to release a Rayman collection including Origins and Lagends for the PS3 and Xbox 360, just a few weeks later that will sell for 50 dollars.

In the first one they get good sales from the Wii U edition because is an announced exclusive for a few months before any other version is even mentioned, then they please the owners of the other consoles by giving them the game they want with a reduced but fair price for Wii U buyers.

In the second one they cripple the Wii U version and damage their image with the owners of that console, and also devaluate their own game showing that is not ok to spend 60 dollars on it, and PS3 and Xbox 360 owners will want a PSN and Live release for 20 dollars top.

Now I expect 600k sales for the game with a solid start and a good bump when there is a reduction in price as a good number of players consider 60 dollars too much for a 2D plataformer.
