damn ok but then the ps2 was a very weak and ill king over the last eight years or so. a king no one really recognized anymore even if he was in front of the people. a king with much less support as other people in his kingdom got.

That's not a PS3 falt... if Wii and 360 left the competition is because they can't hold the oppostion to PS3.

360 will never have a chance to become a king, dead or not. PS3 will then be the king of kings

Nobody can make your own king... the King have to be always accepted (even if needed to use brute force).

PS3 is the new King and the people have to accept it or be decapitated in a public square.

Well let's look at this properly.

There are three main forms of royal succession: primogeniture, seniority and feudal elective.

By primogeniture it goes to the oldest child. This is, of course, the PS3.

By seniority it goes to the oldest surviving member of the dynasty. This is the PSP.

By elective it goes to the most popular, which is the Wii.

 

Seniority is silly and giving it to the PSP is absurd, so it really depends on whether you prefer primogeniture or elective. But bear in mind, under primogeniture, since the SNES was undoubtedly the 4th gen king, the N64 and GameCube should have followed. So we switched sometime before 1995, if we used primogeniture at all.

In essence, it ought to be the Wii, but it could be the PS3 as well. Nothing else really makes sense.

well, i accept my own "king" and won't accept yours. and now? i am going to get decapitated? wow, i really dislike the new king who needs such "arguments" to convince the audience of his awesomeness.

Until PS3 takes over Wii, it ain't king.

Taking 2nd doesn't make you king either. It just makes you......2nd lol. Kings are #1.

Your stretching your boundaries. It may take 2nd within a year, but taking 1st is years away.

Nice, I've been thinking about that game since the sales started! PSP is almost dead though, so PS3 would likely take the throne of it soon. So that's 2 out of 3 ways PS3 would be king!

We could also say that Sony was a usurper with the PS1, since they sold a lot more than any console before them. 

We live in a progressive society. We do elections :). All the casuals, moms, and grandparents clearly cast a vote for the Wii. Every vote counts!

Monarchies hold no power today.
