Well let's look at this properly.
There are three main forms of royal succession: primogeniture, seniority and feudal elective.
By primogeniture it goes to the oldest child. This is, of course, the PS3.
By seniority it goes to the oldest surviving member of the dynasty. This is the PSP.
By elective it goes to the most popular, which is the Wii.
Seniority is silly and giving it to the PSP is absurd, so it really depends on whether you prefer primogeniture or elective. But bear in mind, under primogeniture, since the SNES was undoubtedly the 4th gen king, the N64 and GameCube should have followed. So we switched sometime before 1995, if we used primogeniture at all.
In essence, it ought to be the Wii, but it could be the PS3 as well. Nothing else really makes sense.
