It didn't do bad. But did it do better than the PSV?

The WiiU is less than 2 million or so away from the Vita lifetime sales, so it's had a much better start.

1.6 million behind.

Someone should make a prediction thread when the Wii U will surpass the Vita in LTD sales.

ITS now made!!!

I think a lot of people think is not doing great because it hasn't been the madness the Wii was back in 2006, which in all honesty nobody was expecting really.

The launch has been like I expected, not as great as the Wii but better than the PS360 which is fine imo. Nintendo have to do something about Europe though, those numbers are starting to get kinda worrisome, but thankfully N.A and Japan are doing fine.

The success of the system in Japan definitely ensures that companies like Capcom, Konami, Square-Enix, and Namco will jump on and/or continue to support the system in Japan.  Western third support may be iffier, but Ubisoft is definitely one to look for.  I was quite impressed with their output:  Assassin's Creed 3 was terrific, and ZombiU was much better than I was expecting.  And their upcoming Rayman Legends holds a lot of promise.

It will do a bit better in its first 6 months than the Gamecube and worse than N64/Wii. I would say that is very bad.

Oh please. Just five weeks in and people are already saying the sales are going to be bad? Seriously? Without even knowing what the lineup for this year will remotely be like (it may look barren now, but it won't stay that way for long)?

it did good... now back to "the vita is doomed" threads and see people justify why it is not doomed...

It did really well. It's expensive, especially compare to the other consoles on the market at the moment. Plus it didn't have very many interesting games. So it did great

You love hating on Nintendo right? In every thread of Nintendo, I see you bashing the wiiU. This thread was about how you thought the wiiU did in 2012 and the numbers show that it has the second best launch numbers in the console history with 2.48m units sold in 6 weeks. Yet, you didn't even answer what the OP was asking and just started making your doom prediction ( which by the way you formulated your sentence, you are making it look like you are stating a fact which is false and very subjective) which is not revelant at all to this thread. So keep your anti-nintendo and wiiU comments to yourself. Or at the very least, answer what the OP is asking.

Predictions for LT console sales:

PS4: 120M

XB1: 70M

WiiU: 14M

3DS: 60M

Vita: 13M

I hate to see what you thought of the 360 and PS3's launch. There sales were worse.

2.5 millions in its first year is kind of terrible :(
