I have an xbox 360 slim with over 50 games. I guess I'm part of this xbox community.

Don't tell me...do you use your 360 as your multiplatform console as well?

I have 3 360s(2 PAL,1 USA) with a lot of games.Especially from the early 360 days where they had stuff like Kameo and J-RPGs.
But everyone here thinks im a Sony Fanboy - Im not a Fanboy at all.Im just realistic.I support the company who has the best games.
Im in the GAMING Community and i hold gaming high.I love to support unique games and new projects and hate Copy+Paste shooters or Companies who turn well known Franchises into those.Thats it.
Heavy Rain? The Last of Us?Beyond Two Souls?Journey?Unfinished Swan?Even if they would cost 100 Euro i would buy them just to support those awesome developers and Sony for letting them work on titles like this.
But i wouldn't even take one of these well known Copy+Paste shooters as a gift - NEVER.I would hit the person cause he wasted money on that.

And i want to answer S.T.A.G.E too even if he doesn't care
At 1st yes and sometimes i buy even worse Multiplats on the 360 cause of friends for Coop cause they either don't have a PC or PS3.
Recently i bought Dead or Alive 5 and RE6 (RE6 for cheap gladly) and of course Fifa13 for the 360.
I have DoA5 too on the PS3 and there it is clearly superior but who cares.
But nowadays most Multiplats are getting bought for PC - I couldn't take it if i had to play games like Battlefield 3(not a copy+paste shooter),Far Cry 3 or upcoming Crysis3 with anything else than ULTRA Settings.I probably won't even care for Leaderboards in DMC and take the graphics over competition.

Nice. I wish I had a PC to play those games on. I play my exclusive shooters and multipats on the 360 and my fighters and exclusives on the PS3,but my PS3 collection is far larger based exclusives alone.

I guess biased moderators have something to do with that. A 360 fan gets banned for something which won't get nintendo/sony fans banned, because the fanbases of n/s are reporting everything which is even a bit negative towards their console of choice.

Then a moderator comes to rescue and bans. In some cases certain moderators look for excuses to ban users... not mentioning any names.

Oh, is this "the moderators are Microsoft haters" week again? I could have sworn it was still "the moderators are Sony haters" week.

The mod team has no preference of console overall and certainly does not moderate based on that preference. But one week, more fans of one group are banned and that is apparently indicative of bias.

No, I did not say that.

There is one mod who let's his preference show with his moderations/threats to moderate on threads.

I don't see that any of the mods in your mod history could be considered Microsoft haters. Would you care to specify which one? Perhaps in a PM, if you don't feel comfortable saying it here.

Don't worry, we don't consider you at all.

Just as well neither you nor anyone else gets to say who is or isn't part of a console community.

To be fair I don't think someone who goes on Metacritic rating every game a zero on the 360 is going to be welcomed with open arms into the Xbox community

As I read this several times: Is there any proof for that?

http://www.metacritic.com/user/turkishcritic?page=0

I think he has deleted some of them now.  He admits to this being him by the way.

thanks. and epic thread! "either 10 or 0" and "There seems to be a pattern in the scores :D"

ok, whatever Turkish will ever post here, it can't be taken serious. I already thought this when he was active in his ps4-hw-prediction-thread but now everything is cleared. Why does he own a system he hates? But i don't want it to get personal to Turkish. Let him do whatever he wants - nobody should care anymore.

im sorry, but im seeing the bias here. Its not like he rated those Sony games all high either, he did give R&C FFA a 6 and some multiplat got lower scores, this just tells me he sucks at giving scores.

Right.  Even allowing for the fact he has deleted a lot of the reviews, he is still showing ridiculous bias.

I didnt know he deleted some stuff, still not seeing the bias, he didnt rate every non MS game great either, but then again I didnt see the deleted stuff, so I guess ill have to give you the benefit of the doubt.

Here is a Halo 4 review that he deleted.

Holy shit at that awesome Turkish Gaf shit, they fucking destroyed him, lol.

I LOVE paying for Xbox Live! I also love that my love for it pisses off so many people.

Before he was found out he gave all PS3/PSV games a 10 and all X360 games a 0. However, now that he's been exposed he's deleted alot of them and threw in some reviews that don't make him seem as bias.

LOL

How do you know? Are you stalking Kowen or something? :0

The Xbox gamer community is an inverse to the intelligence of the Sony gamer community. As the intelligence level declines, so too does the size of the Xbox gamer community. As the intelligence level increases, so too does the size of the Xbox gamer community.

The problem with a site is the amount of bias. Not only bias from within the community but also by the modding staff. A modding staff that allows one community to be heard more loudly than say another does no favors for itself. It is the diversity of a site, the breadth of ideas, and voices that allow it to grow. It doesn't mean we all agree on one topic, it doesn't mean we all disagree either, but we are rational and logical in our arguments and opinions.

I'm not a fan of Sony or Nintendo, but even I know PS3 backward compatibility, even if offered in a module, is the best option for Sony in the PS4. I'm not going to suggest an option that would hurt them in their current financial state or one that would subjectively offer a technological advantage but also likewise a technological failure (cloud-based gaming service). Certainly in the US it would be the worst idea due to the varying and often poor bandwidth options here.

The problem with this site is all too often bias is tolerated. Often anything Xbox related can be slammed without a supporting argument or the weakest of arguments, but any attempt to do the same with the Sony or Nintendo becomes a reason for banning or admonishment.

If what the site owners, administrators, moderators, and members want is a site that only speaks for one community in gaming, so be it. It will be what they eventually end up with. Opinions are like assholes, everyone has them and the Internet is drowning in assholes.

How many times do we need to hear from people who have never played a game, but yet hate on it or the genre because they don't like it? How many times does a fact need to be told before the community just accepts that the fact and truth is indeed a truth and stops trying to argue otherwise? The gaming community needs to become less silo'ed, less fanboyish, and more rational, reasonable, and intelligent. It doesn't mean we can't be passionate about what we like or don't like, it just means we can have a better, more intelligent conversation about it. Not endless stirring of pots, or arguments for the sake of arguing.

Yes, I hold the general Xbox community in high regard because despite the 12 year old XBL stereotype people have of Xbox gamers, they generally are a very reasonable and mature group that when engaged in a conversation about something gaming related offer an amazingly intelligent conversation. I've talked to gamers of a wide array of ages in person and the level of conversation is impressive. The problem is that what we seem to get online, especially when it comes to Sony gamers and a lesser extent Nintendo gamers, is often a lack of intelligent, reasonable, or rational conversation.

I don't care what community you belong to, it's gets frustrating having the same conversation over and over and over again, despite whatever rational and reasonable conversation you try to have. Or trying to start up a new conversation that hasn't been broached before and having it crushed under the weight of opinions rather than rational and intelligent arguments.

Xbox gamers are Xbox gamers, they may also be PC gamers, Nintendo gamers, or Sony gamers, but the bottom line is they are Xbox gamers. They get really tired of people suggesting their gaming preference is the worst for no other reason than whoever is saying is doesn't like some aspect of the Xbox gaming world.

If someone likes Kinect, damn them for liking Kinect because your opinion is that Kinect sucks. If someone likes a particular game they get damned because they and millions of others enjoy a particular game. Halo 4 sells millions of copies and idiots that have never played the game want to argue that sales don't determine quality, but then will turn right around and point to how many fewer copies of Halo 4 have sold than prior iterations of the game. If you point out how well the game rated in Metacritic, than either Metacritic is flawed or the fact that it performed poorer (largely because of ONE review) in Metacritic than prior iterations suggests that any opinion contrary to the opposing viewpoint is in fact wrong. There is no opportunity to win an argument when the battle is between subjective opinion, so why bother engaging in it?

That's the challenge for any Xbox gamer. Why bother engaging in any argument? Why not just let the nay-sayers say whatever they want and move on to a less argumentative conversation or site altogether?

Why would they start now after all this time?
