omfg carl just stop your "i hide a forza bash in every gt post" shit, it gets annoying. yeah you are cool you can bash other games without the risk of a ban, we got it lol

the reason why they changed so much for gt5 is because it got a lot of hate for different things (deserved or not), that's why you got so many updates for the game.

the reason why forza can get faster releases is because turn 10 has much more employees, they just do much more in the same timeframe.

in the end both game series deserve to get praised for their awesome quality.

That's what I was thinking. It's childish and annoying.

Where did I say Forza, in any of my posts? :S

Talk about being paranoid.

Ive never hid it when Ive bashed something... Why start now?

Im totally innocent. If people want to be upset that Gran Turismo is in the elite with Mario Kart then so be it. But throwing accusations around? Thats just silly. If its upsetting someone Im really sorry. I thought talking about sales and facts on this website was aloud?

You know, I never really played a racer/sim extensively. I always thought that after awhile it would get boring or whatever. But I think this year might be different for me. And since GT is such a sales beast with such a strong community of people who buy it right out of the gate without having it forced on them, I think I am going to buy my first racer this holiday and give it a go. How can 9 ( or possibly 10) million people be wrong about the elite in it's class.

Id say the XL/Academy Edition is a must-buy. It has all the updates and content. Think of it as a Game of the Year Edition.

Fantastic that the game has been supported so well. They could easily have replaced it after a couple of Years and milked the consumer. Nice of them to keep the GT5 userbase updated.

Funny you see it like that. I always saw a certain game as a unfinished product and the update should have been day 1. Also I find it distressing that you could start and finish highschool plus have one year of college and still not play a full game, being a 5.5 year dev cycle.

Guess Im too spoiled because my racing games are done when I buy them and I dont have to finish my degree before playing the next game.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

I do like how PD keeps the content coming for GT5 instead of repeatedly making new ones. PD is a game supporting BEAST.

It is quite amazing how an unfinished game can sell so well. More than a lot of racers sell lifetime! Shows just how strong the brand is when Demos and unfinished games can consistantly outsell the competition.

What did you do?

But shouldnt the fans demand better instead of rewarding 5.5 year cycles, priced demos, unfinished games, and reviews below the series lofty expectations? Id think so.

To me it sounds like the fans are trying their hardest to keep the dream alive when the reality is quite different now.

Hey Carl, dont forget the Metacritic score!  I find it absolutly appalling that a low 80's metacritic game can easily outsell its competetion that "are in the 90s".  What are people thinking when they buy such a game?!
