Forums - Sales - If PS4 finally has cross game chat/party, PS4 wins next generation.

Cross game chat is not the only reason.

Advertisement factor makes your thread irrelevant.

Even on the first page of your tomatoes site it has a ladder based system which orders them in earnings. Your own source, or "sauce" in this case disagreed with you. FAIL.

I hope you realize that only includes US box office numbers. Probably not, since you like to cherry pick information to try to prove your own point.

Can you atleast downsize your sig.

Companies who sell products tend to rely on sales and profits in order to guage success, not the ramblings of Internet trolls. Your examples to back up your comment have been hilarious. No, I'm no Twilight or Beiber fan but you listed two things that are massively successful. I somehow doubt that when Island Records is deposting another million dollar Beebs check or when Stephanie Meyer decides to go on a Scrooge McDuck swim through her Twilight gold, they are thinking that you know, despite all this massive profit and success, they should probably just wrap it up and declare it all a failure because some people don't like the product.

Yes but due to the massive hate they get, their downfall will come much sooner and you'll be seeing Justin Bieber on Maury yelling " I ain't dat babies daddy". Why do you think people like Stevie Wonder or John Lennon are still relivant to this day? Singers like Justin Bieber and movies such as Twilight are something I like to call a short term success. Couple years from now Twilight will be all but forgotten, whereas movies like the LOTR trilogy and Harry Potter series will still be talked about and remember for many many years to come.

Yes because everyone loves LOTR and Harry Potter. You're now officially arguing against yourself. Good job......

Not everyone but the majority. Majority rules.

Majority of what? Your small social circle comparitive to the population of the world? What majority are we talking here?

Majority of the people that have watched it? Do I need to spoon feed you people information? Jesus Christ.

RottenTomatoes:

Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring - 92%

Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers - 96%

Lord of the Rings: The Return of The King - 94%

Of course not everyone who watched it liked it whether it be them just trolling to "stand out" or just genuinly didn't care for the film.

Again, what does this matter? Your bizarre definition of success doesn't fit with reality.

Yeah, if you go to RT and see those ratings, they are high for those movies. And those movies made tons of money.

But if you look at the top grossing movies of all time and then see how they fared on that same site, I counted almost 20 that were "not fresh" just in the top 50 or so of all time WW grossings and not a single one of them are anywhere close to failures. All massively successful films that all reeled in hundreds of millions of dollars of profit.

Where you looking at critics review or user review? User reviews are more reliable because there are many more votes and it's a better overall result on whether the majority of people liked it. I know I used critics review for LOTR but I couldn't be bother to click the movies to check user reviews. Although I'm sure those ones are in the 80s.

Like it would even matter which one. Unless you're going to tell me that users LOVED the Transformers and Twilight films.

One reason and you just hand the victory to Sony? Wow. Might just start keeping my bodily waste and claim it comes with cross game chat. I'll win next gen too!!

The OP is mistaken. This is pretty much the last argument the 360 fanboys have as to why the PSN and Live aren't primarily equal where it counts in the eyes of consumers. We know that isn't the only thing, but thats always the argument that comes up as to why Xbox Live is better than PSN. It has much more to do than that like retail launch offerings, killer apps, launch price, specs, etc. Online offerings are important but those things are major sellers as well.

Nope, people in US buy 360 because of paying for online as one reason anyway. The casuals/semi casual/semi core believe it has better online due to having to pay, but in reality it means nothing.

We have a mass mind reader here.

JESUS HAS RETURNED AND IS NOW ON VGCHARTZ!! :-O

I doubt most of the people that buy it even know that you'd have to pay to play online.

lol sorry should have mentioned that's how it is at least where I live! Like in my old high school I would really talk to the semi core/casuals and what not and they seriously thought the 360 was better because they paid to play! There are definitely more reasons, like Microsoft is an American company and others of course, but I was just saying how a great amount of people see things around my area of living.

JESUS IS HERE!

Doubtful since Xbox Live will just have a bunch of new features next generation that Sony will have to spend years trying to copy. There's also the possibility that many of the new features might not be as easily copied next time around which could cause a lot of problems for Sony.

As for both consoles I think the next Playstation is going to have major problems due to the cuts Sony has had to make in PR and advertising. I expect those cuts will impact sales of their hardware and games for years to come much like the impact it's had on their first party games and recent hardware launches.
