Just like the guitar fad, but now Guitar Hero and Rock Band can't sell sh*t (and are basically dead). It's a fad. You need to realize when people play games, they like the classic way. Most people game BY THEMSELVES.

I do not like motion controls including kinect but you can't argue with the success kinect has had.  20+ million units sold so far.  It was purely in response to the OT.  Why has the 360 sold well.  One reason would be kinect along with multiple other reasons, not because party chat.  So what was the point of your comment besides bashing on something when nobody said anything about if it was good or not in the first place?  

Success = popularity?

Then give better reasons.  Twilight is also a success.  Have you ever heard of, gain 1000 fans and gain 1000 haters.  Everything that is popular will also draw a hate crowd, but it doesnt make something not successful.  Kinect, Justin Bieber, and Twilight have all been big hits.  You have no argument which is why you look bad.  Stop voicing your opinions like they are true.

Nope, people in US buy 360 because of paying for online as one reason anyway. The casuals/semi casual/semi core believe it has better online due to having to pay, but in reality it means nothing.

I somehow doubt that when Island Records is deposting another million dollar Beebs check or when Stephanie Meyer decides to go on a Scrooge McDuck swim through her Twilight gold, they are thinking that you know, despite all this massive profit and success, they should probably just wrap it up and declare it all a failure because some people don't like the product.

Yes but due to the massive hate they get, their downfall will come much sooner and you'll be seeing Justin Bieber on Maury yelling " I ain't dat babies daddy". Why do you think people like Stevie Wonder or John Lennon are still relivant to this day? Singers like Justin Bieber and movies such as Twilight are something I like to call a short term success. Couple years from now Twilight will be all but forgotten, whereas movies like the LOTR trilogy and Harry Potter series will still be talked about and remember for many many years to come.
