Lets say the ps3 was at $299.99

The wii still at the same $249.99 price point, which of the two would you have bought, and Why?

Wii, because I have to have my Nintendo games. Though because of the lower price of PS3, later on I may have bought it as well.

What if monkeys could fly? Would they still throw poop?

PS3, because at that price, devs wouldn't be afraid of the system's popularity, which would result in bigger and better games.

PS3, Ratchet, Uncharted, FF, MGS4, LBP and Haze but that was not really announced when the PS3 came out.

the wii, because i was completely bored with console gaming about half way through the last generation. hype around the wii controller is the only reason i bought any console at all. i would have suck to pc gaming otherwise and probably game a lot less. 

I think the most of the responses will be 'Wii.'

What if Wii was $125 at launch? Wouldn't everyone buy it no matter what?

The funny thing is that Wii at $125 would be more likely than PS3 at $300 at launch.
