so are we to predict wiiU's actual first week or their WW combined first week?  that makes a big difference.

I know I'll be clamorously proven wrong, but I'll dare to guess ~550k.
I could have guessed more as launch is in the same week of BF, but I don't know America, and I can't say if BF overall helped it or if the tons of other crazy offers will have somehow stolen part of the spotlights from it... We'll know soon, anyway.

Actually the BF offers were not that crazy this year. A consumer group made a report on it. And most of the "door busters" (i.e. the insanely cheap items) were not the cheapest they have been this year. And I went to my local walmart to see how it was going to get a sense of how retail was doing in my area and it wasn't good. It didn't look like many people even went to the store. (I have been noticing a lot more state debit cards which is how several state no do their unemployment to save money, so it wasn't that surprising.)
