Excellent, what discounts did they offer on The Walking Dead?  They only discount to raise awareness of titles, I'm a sucker for big budget games so a lot of the time I'd get no value.  There is the small factor that I love physical media where possible and prices at the high street are usually cheaper than online even with discounts.  I think I see what you're saying though, if you buy a lot of the content they push, then it's a good service if you want to pay for it.  Value wise it really isn't for everyone though and that seems lost on people who love the service and can't see why people don't see value in it (this isn't directed at you btw). 

Ps3 always has great games....next year..      Those games are almost not worth the time , only enjoyed One Piece because I was a big One piece fan but the rest of them I don't care.   Fuck PS plus and spend that money for Syphon Filther/legend of Dragoon game.

I guess they're not worth your time if you don't like to play various types of games. They're great games. Virtues Last Reward is one of the best games of this year aswel as Persona 4 Golden. The highest rated game of this year LOOL.

6) People who get a (limited) console for free are surely happy about it. Either they love it or sell it. Who are you to talk bad about free stuff?

5) Automated updates would totally raise my power costs because the console is always on stand-by which eats a lot, no thanks.

4) Game Trials are psycho-stuff. When you can play a game for 1 hour and haven't stopped by then, you will buy it. Demos are not that way and nowadays offer like the first chapter, mission or race. Which is enough to understand and experience the core game.

3) Old discussion, old pro and contra points. The day PSN works as well as LIVE I will gladly switch (no I won't because I still don't like the controller). But until then I will keep downloading crazily huge updates that then have to be installed and after an hour of waiting I can go online just to get kicked off a few minutes later for no reason (well, free service apparently).

2) Lamest point ever to me. The whole internet is like "omg ads on my console" while the whole world is full of ads, you don't even notice (but on your console you do, right). I don't even recognize those ads or see them as ads. It's information tiles about new releases and deals. I'm not interested in whatever the tile is showing? No need to recognize it until it changes. Also the dashboard is senseless. I can set the console to start a game immediately when booting and access everything through the in-game dashboard without any ads and it's even quicker.

Those are my picky reasons then.

No people understand the article just fine. If its intention is to compare the value of a service like PS+ to the value of a completely different service like XBL Gold then we're right to mock it and disregard it. One fee is an entryway into the best online service around and all the features it includes. The other is like a Sam's Club card, or a grocery store membership card. It has nothing to do with online play or services, it exists solely for discounts and "value". And just like the entrance fee for XBL Gold, the "value" with PS+ will vary from person to person.

The comparison should be between XBL and PSN. But XBL wins easily so...
