I predict that if they release a demo a few weeks before release and do a WW simultaneous release, they can probably do 750K in day 1 (250K US, 200K Japan and 300K Others).

but anything can happen, if it's released within 2 weeks of GTAIV, it will only stay ontop until GTAIV comes out. So if it's 1 week ahead, it's screwed.

Please do a Mid March release please!

yes because this is the ps3 biggest game. in japan they have no games thats why its still selling only 50thousand a week so when this game comes  EVERYBODY is gonna want it. i cant understand how nobodys see's this.

It will be on top for a week or 2... MGS in general does not have that good of legs... they are quite front loaded... kinda like Halo...

btw, I think it will sell 1 million first week WW, not day 1....

oh yea i forgot about that game. but i dont think gta4 and mgs4 is comming out in the same month.

I think it will sell 1 million, but not the first day. Probably within the first week. I think if you add up all first day sales from all 3 regions then yeah it will hit 1 mil on its "first day". I don't know when it's going to be released, or if it will still be released simultaneously worldwide, but we'll see what happens.

kojima said it will be a worldwide release only days apart.
