I felt like they made Spiderman in the new movie look like a complete little girl. I mean at the end he had trouble shooting his webs and needed the help of the crane things. I just can't imagine that Spiderman being in an avengers film. The Tobey Maguire Spiderman was the greatest and I feel like if the new one is in an avengers movie he would get ripped to shreds by the villains.

Spider-man being overmatched often is kind of the point, though.  He's intented to be the opposite of Superman.  Some of my favorite comics ever are the issues where he fought the Juggernaut.  Spider-man got the hell beat out of him when all he could really do was annoy Juggernaut, but he didn't give up.  He still won, even though there was really nothing to win, the Juggernaut wasn't even trying to fight now at first.

On topic, yeah, Captain America.  I just plain don't like his attitude.  I think he's also the product of another time and that Marvel just keeps him around to fill the "leadership during a crisis" role because their most popular characters aren't cut out for that.

Superman
Aqua Man
Green Lantern
Wonderwoman
Almost everyone on the Justice League. Hold up, maybe just every DC character except Batman. Batman is one of the best super heroes though and he has some of the best villians in the industry.

Seriously. He can do almost everything, is almost invincible (only one way to kill him), and his costume isn't even cool.

Who do you think is the worst superhero? By worst I don't mean least powerful, but the worst designed one or the one who just isn't fun at all. By popular I mean some of Marvel and DC's main ones. You can mention others if people should know who they are.

Superman is my personal favorite superhero.

Yeah sure, he may be too powerful sometimes, depending on who's writing his story, but it's the character I like not his powers. His best stories rarely come down to him being stronger than his enemies. He usually has to out think the villains. Or more often than not he gets his ass handed to him by a villain that is either stronger than him or has found a way to weaken him so he must risk his life to save others.

Superman is the only superhero that I looked up to as a kid. He is the purest example of what a man should strive to be. Superman is kind, helpful, and above all else he cares about everyone more than he cares about himself.

I can understand people finding Superman boring when compared to the detective stories of Batman or the action thrillers of Spider-Man, and I do enjoy those as well. But for me Superman is speaks to me on a very personal level. Superman is an idea. He teaches us to be better than we where the day before. Like Jesus he wants us to be the best we can be and treat each other with mutual kindness and understanding.

Superman is the man I wanted to be when I grew up and still hope to be one day. Maybe that's why they call him the Man of Tomorrow.

Now that I think about it, Batman is probably the only super hero I really like...

Captain America gets my vote as well though. The only super hero trait I see in him is his ridiculous clothes.

You're not alone Salnax. I'm a huge Superman fan. Although my favorite is Martian Manhunter :)

At least in the first avenger's movie, spiderman would have done just fine. Heck two normal people without any super powers had an easy time killing dozens of those invading aliens. Infact, sheerly through how easily they were being taken down by guns I would say any modern military force would have easily taken them down without any superhero help.

As for lamest super hero, I would pick superman. But then again I haven't read any of the comics, heck I haven't even watched any of his movies. Just a few cartoons.

And why is it that Superman is your favourite?

For me the worst has to be Captain America, he should be Captain USA instead of America, he only represent a country not a continent.

This is my FAV super hero,

I like Superman because, well, he has the opposite problem most superheroes have.

Batman and most superheroes are cool because they fight evildoers and corruption. However, they lack the power to fundamentally change the system that creates these villains. Superman, if he felt like it, could kill most of the villains out there and remake a world in his image. But he doesn't because he has to allow humanity a chance to clean its own act. And that's the ultimate source of a lot conflict in Superman. "How do I help people without depriving them of growth or becoming a dictator or something." It's not just about beating up a bad guy. It's about struggling to be everything people need without being overbearing.

Something else I like about Superman. He usually holds back.

If Superman really wanted to beat a bad guy, he could just drop the moon on them or something. But it's not about that; it's about protecting people. So he's always trying to find a balance between using enough force to stop enemies without causing any harm to bystanders.

I guess my point is, Superman has to be judged differently from other superheroes, because even though he's the most iconic, he has very different struggles and conflicts. Ultimately, his greatest enemies are rarely evildoers (although when they are, the results are epic). It's about a great man's struggle to deserve everything he's been blessed with.
