At least in the first avenger's movie, spiderman would have done just fine. Heck two normal people without any super powers had an easy time killing dozens of those invading aliens. Infact, sheerly through how easily they were being taken down by guns I would say any modern military force would have easily taken them down without any superhero help.
As for lamest super hero, I would pick superman. But then again I haven't read any of the comics, heck I haven't even watched any of his movies. Just a few cartoons.
