1. Crisis 2
2. Gears of War 3
3. Red Dead
4. Allan Wake
5. Oblivion. Oops, I meant Skyrim.

I know it isn't out yet and likely will look better by the time its released, but where I live there was a gaming convention last week where they had a demo of Crysis 3 running. To me it looked good but visual fell short of the milestone set by Halo 4 by some distance.
| BenVTrigger said: Yeah I agree it doesnt shatter anything but I would put it at the same level as Killzone 3 and better than it in certain aspects such as lighting as I mentioned. Prior to this I had Killzone 3 as best looking FPS this gen. Obviously theres PC titles ahead of both by a pretty big margin |
^ this. No need to argue

I've never actually played any of the PGR games, but after seeing that small clip Nsanity posted, I thought that was fake(or touched up considerably) and there was no way it looked that good. After watching some gameplay I will definitely have to pick it up. |
It's an amazing game too.
The graphics were awesome at the time and still really good, though the car models are not as detailed as in newer driving games.
OT: Of the released games it's either Crysis 2, Gears 3 or Forza Horizon.
But from what we've seen Halo 4 will easily beat them.
every halo release it seems to have the best graphics, that is when you finally play it it doesnt look as good on your TV although they are all great looking games in thier own right as you have to take level size and openess into consideration, had they been corridor/linier shooters like cod/gears/kz etc the visuals could be bumped up
edit: crackdown 2 need a mention
...not much time to post anymore, used to be awesome on here really good fond memories from VGchartz...
PSN: Skeeuk - XBL: SkeeUK - PC: Skeeuk
really miss the VGCHARTZ of 2008 - 2013...

Not this time. Different studio. And that new studio made it clear from the very beginning they were going to push the 360 to the breaking limit. If you have the balls to not spoil to muc of the game I wen ta viewed the first 20 mins of the game on Youtube. I have to say they have not disappointed. Its production value and crazy visuals are amazing. It will look twice that good on my HDTV as all Youtube videos do.
But the lighting and sheer scale is breathtaking. Also the detail of textures is incredible as well. Especially when you see...... O man I cant wait to talk about what Ive seen openly without spoiling the game for everyone. Its not really a spoiler, but I wont do that to anyone who doesnt want to know anything.

Well, I saw halo videos, and maybe the multiplayer doesn't look as good as the campaign or something, but when I saw mp I didn't see anything that was leagues above gears of war 3.
In fact I thought gears looked better.
Still gives me goosebumps!
Looks even better in HD--download the demo on Xbox.

You can't give Sony credit for the Halo 4 engine, in fact none of the top engine people are from Sony studios.
