Forums - Gaming - Zone of Enders HD Collection superior on 360, frame rate much faster on Xbox

Hard to believe the ps3 once cost $500-$600 dollars. Things like this and the inability to run a smooth Fallout or Skyrim is why I choose the 360 this generation, that and the loss of exclusives like GTA, Devil May Cry, Final Fantasy, etc.

2007 called. It said that it lost a tard to the future and would like him back. Please go home. Your own time is calling.

Different year, same shit I'd say. Another poor port...do you remember Rezident Evil 4 on the PC and what a horror show that was even on high end PCs? Yeah, not the hardware's fault when the coding is poor.

Won't be picking this one up at all. I liked Zone of the Enders 2 well enough, but I believe there's little value in going back to it right now. Maybe a digital collection, enhanced and ironed out would be more my tastes.

I want this game on PC. give it to me on PC, Otherwise i'll be playing the PS2 version

you can play the ps2 version on PC... at a higher res (no widescreen). This games really finicky compared to others though you need a 4GHZ+ processor.

I was going to buy this for widescreen, but not now.

That's some lazy porting right there. Such a difference this late into the gen.

It's awful on both. No reason it shouldn't be running at 60fps consistently.

makes sense, just like Metal Gear collection. I blame the lack of edram.

PS3 min FPS 20??? 360 23??? Seriously everyone that makes a game that goes goes below 30 fps should get fired...:

I hate that.

I don't understand the problem...

Then again FPS is the last thing I care about in a game. I'm just glad there's no tearing.

@pezus

Honestly, and I know I'm going to get reamed for this, the 360 should be better at software emulating PS2 games than the PS3. The embedded RAM on the PS2 actually has more bandwidth than even the XDR on the PS3. They'd be able to emulate that easier on the 360 because of the 10MB of embedded RAM on the 360 GPU.

It's actually the truth though.  The PS2's "video ram" was actually the same edram in the 360.  Though I wonder how Sony's getting around that edram business, seems like Konami can't figure it out.

I was always planning on getting the 360 version. Honestly, it's pretty hard to tell the difference between 45FPS and 60FPS with the human eye. Not a big deal.
