Forums - Gaming - Zone of Enders HD Collection superior on 360, frame rate much faster on Xbox

Both versions have a poor framerate, it's just an even bigger shame that it is worse on the platform I'm buying it on.

...since when did 40-60FPS become considered a bad framerate? Most console games run at 30. I can guarantee both run a lot smoother than the original did.

From what I remember, the originals (at least ZOE2) had some significant frame rate problems, especially near the end of the game. It was still extremely fun, but I won't be picking up this set unless it gets a significant discount.

This.

I'm proud to say that I too am the proud owner of the original copies.  But in best case scenario, there will be a future patch that brings the PS3 version up to par with the Xbox 360 version.  Worse case scenario, this will eventually be one of the very few subpar multi-platform PS3 games of the many superior multi-platform PS3 titles that I own.

Will wait for the ultra hd edition (4k) on ps4/5 and xbox 720/1080.

Most publishers hardly put much time into HD collection although I would say something like this should have received some attention from the devs.

If it's an EDRAM problem there is no way to patch around the issue.

Does anyone know the name of the developer that was in charge of this and Silent Hill port?

This is the same publisher that gave released an unplayable Silent Hill HD Collection and then refused to patch the 360 version at all. I don't think hardware is the problem in either case.

Indeed. I was expecting it to have alot of problem, but if its only frame rate drops then it's not too bad.

Maybe i should wait and see if they are still releasing the Vita version.

The Xbox 360 is actually a better system for PS2 ports because it matches the crazy architecture better as they both have eDRAM.

Tease.

I consider it a bad framerate because it actually drops below 30 and it's a HD remaster of a PS2 game. If the framerate is going to be less than 60 (or occasionally 30), you'd want some decent visuals to make up for that. Just imagine a Call of Duty game in 30fps.

This shows really bad developing. Reminds me of when you get a PC game and it runs like crap. Has nothing to do with the hardware, it has something to do with the lazy developing team.
