Forums - Gaming - Zone of Enders HD Collection superior on 360, frame rate much faster on Xbox

Gimme Gimme Games

The video below compares the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the Zone of Enders HD Collection. It displays how the Xbox 360 version manages to steadily stage ahead of the PS3 version in frame rate.

The 360 version stays at least 10 frames faster than the PS3 version, sometimes up to 18 frames faster.

Sadly even the 360 version doesn’t stay locked at 60 frames per second. It hits it, but falls short of it quite often. The game is hitting stores soon so will this sway you to buy the 360 version instead of the PS3 version based off this?

You can check out the video comparison between the two below.

Both versions have a poor framerate, it's just an even bigger shame that it is worse on the platform I'm buying it on.

Hard to believe the ps3 once cost $500-$600 dollars. Things like this and the inability to run a smooth Fallout or Skyrim is why I choose the 360 this generation, that and the loss of exclusives like GTA, Devil May Cry, Final Fantasy, etc.

LOL as there is a difference...

First of all we need to aknowledge that PS3 is difficult to program for, but if enough time and resources are dedicated to PS3, it can produce visuals superior to the 360.

This is nothing new to Sony. PS2 was also notoriously difficult to program for. It was something sony did on purpose. The console checklist for sony was:

Does it have a new medium we can push?...check

Did we overhype the shit out of its capabilities?...check

Are we losing money on each unit sold?...check

Is it hard to program for?...check

Alright people, we got ourself a Playstation console launch!

From what I remember, the originals (at least ZOE2) had some significant frame rate problems, especially near the end of the game. It was still extremely fun, but I won't be picking up this set unless it gets a significant discount.

I want this game on PC. give it to me on PC, Otherwise i'll be playing the PS2 version

This is the same publisher that gave released an unplayable Silent Hill HD Collection and then refused to patch the 360 version at all. I don't think hardware is the problem in either case.
