I don't see how people can feel disappointed about the episode OVERALL. While the whole attack on the prison fell apart so quickly was disappointing, see the governor finally snap and mow down all those people was pure brilliance. This is the moment when he literally lost it. Even his two lackies were scared off their minds. It was jaw dropping seeing that to me and i liked that they did that instead of going through a whole episode of just war.
The show is about the people, not so much the zombies. It's way more a drama/thriller than an action show anyways.
I admit, I was hating on Andrea for the entire season for being so oblivious, but her last moment really turned me around. She said "I wanted to make sure nobody died." or something along those lines. While we, the viewers, taught it was stupid that she was still with the governor, she didn't know the entire story until it was too late. She wanted to save everyone but as the governor and Carl said, you kill or die. Andrea's inability to kill off the governor when she had the chance got more people killed as a result, herself included, plus the neat little list Carl gave to Rick. Point being, Andrea still believed she could save everyone but dialogue just does not cut it in the Walking Dead Universe.
Last bit, Merle's sacrifice was in vain, which thinking on it now, was a pretty shifty move on the show's part and I am willing to admit through my biased glasses, the episode seemed rushed. I don't know why they didn't go for an extra half hour or another entire hour.
Characters I'm really interested next season are Daryl, Michonne, Carl and Tyrese.
