I thought it was quite a good final episode. Some things didn't seem right, I didn't like how the assault on The Prison was handled and how it was over so quickly, and I felt they left things a little bit too open. Still, it was quite an unpredictable episode and very entertaining.
As for that question about whether Carl should have shot the guy, I think he should have. He had plenty of time to drop his weapon, but he didn't, and it was pointing in their general direction. Dropping him was the safest option.
