i know about the past, i am a user since 2007 here. i did just wonder about the 85% marketshare prediction.

Sales of Wii Fit will surpass the combined sales of the Grand Theft Auto franchise... Yep. Thats over 100 Million.

The Wii will outsell the entire PlayStation family by 2016... Yep. Thats about 400 Million btw, in 2012.

The Wii would outsell the PS2 by the start of 2011. It only fell what, 70 Million short?

We got disappointed by reality. Then we shrugged it off and realized that being in first place by tens of millions of units isn't that bad.

Avinash_Tyagi's prediction was more than 300M even without counting the PlayStations sold from now to the end of 2015, if he counted home consoles only referring to PS family, and almost 400M counting portables too, again without counting the sales from now to his deadline.
This would translate into something less than 75% in the first case and something less than 80% in the second case. I can't remember whether there were even more daring 85% share predictions, but his was close enough.    Yet another young, innocent mind lead astray and ruined by Malstrom!!!   
I agree with oniyide he was man enough to admit many times he was wrong. And he was polite enough and not arrogant and angry like a pair of true malstromite talibans (I remember one of them even "reported" a post of mine to Malstrom himself to make him scold me on his blog, I was wondering whether a time machine just took me back to kindergarten  ).

watch what happens to the 360 when COD, another mutiplat comes out and for the PS3 when FIFA another multiplat game comes out (admittedly skewed by the new slim).

Fair enough with black ops 2 (although it will shift both systems off the shelves probably) but halo 4 won't have the same effect on hardware, as it comes out at roughly same time. Halo 4 should of come out now really. 

Both games have specific 360 SKUs though.

Don't you think Xbox would do even better if the 2 games, had a few weeks between them, rather than a couple of days?

Anyway, the Halo 4 bundle looks sweet

why? people who want to buy a 360 for bo2 will do it even with halo 4 release a week before and the same with halo 4. who won't buy a 360 because both games release close behind each other who would buy it with a 2 months gap? i think both games will take sales from each other but i don't believe it will hurt console sales.

btw reach boosted the 360 ~150k in the first two weeks after release, i think halo 4 can maybe do the same

I just though even higher sales would be achieved if they had a couple of weeks between them

LBP Vita has been available since Sept 14th in the US. http://www.ign.com/articles/2012/09/14/littlebigplanet-vitas-street-date-broken

It has had 9 days to help the Vita in the chart. So, that's that.

But I'll post it for you:
