Forums - Nintendo - Platinum: Without Nintendo, There Would Be No Bayonetta 2

So what other game should Nintendo save? Any ideas of games that we love but haven't seen in a long time? Any one-hit wonders that need a sequel? I would love to see another Fear Effect game - 'cmon Ninty make it happen.

Shenmue, Psychonauts, Banjo, Battletoads, Skies of Arcadia.  Just buy Rare and Sega.

Save Rare too, Nintendo. Get Camelot to work on the next Golden Sun too please.

On topic, this may get me to play the series, assuming Nintendo convinces Platinum games to port the first one over.

Golden Sun?? How about rescuing Shining Force from SEGA, too, and having Camelot go back to making them?

So what else can Nintendo save now?

Breath of Fire and Mana series plz

Yes please! Are any of those games available on the Virtual Console? I would love to d/l and play on the Wii U's GamePad if that's possible. Secreat of Mana was just the best.

Secret of Mana and Breath of Fire 1 and 2 are.

Excellent!, makes me even more excited for the Wii U.

There's a new Mana game incoming, Nintendo doesn't need to do anything.

The thing that they can do is fund more sega projects, since sega recently announced a global fat trimming.

Breath of Fire was a great series. I loved the last one for Ps2 and was hoping for another instalment. I replaying the original on VC right now.  Never liked Mana though.

I'm calling BS on this. At worst Bayonetta 2 would not happen NOW, but it would happen eventually. Most likely they Sega shopped it around, took bidders, and Nintendo paid the most. Other backers probably didn't think such a niche title was worth it, and they are probably right.

I'm happy to see the series continue but it's not my type of game. I played the demo and didn't care for it. What I think is strange is that Platinum took Nintendo's money while knowing it would alienate almost all the fans of the original. Most with only a Wii never played the original and most with only a PS360 aren't going to buy a Wii U just for Bayonetta 2. It's weird and regardless of how Platinum spins it I think the game would have been funded and published as a multiplatform game eventually.

A. Many Wii owners also owned a 360 or PS3.

B. There's more reasons to buy a Wii U than just Bayonetta 2; like the next lot of Nintendo 1st party games, (now in HD for the graphics hoes, haha) and others like MH3 ultimate. A lot of PS360 owners WILL buy a Wii U.

People who are mad are gonna ignore this though.
