I played the demo you got with Dragons Dogma code
It's disappointing! Especially to someone who played resident evil 1-2-3-code Veronica.
You SE those games had atmosphere, they had moments that made you jump as it draws you in. You were very vulnerable in a zombie world where ammo was very limited. Even the standard zombies were hard to kill (especially if doing it melee) and sometimes you just had to run. Also zombies were zombies, slow unintelligent blood sucking beings.

But this demo shows that everything those games had has now gone! Just like resident evil 5 ammo is everywhere! There is no atmosphere in the game, And you do not feel vulnerable...at all. I actually went through the the whole demo just melee attacking the zombies and easily breezed through. Also the zombies had Guns!! Yes guns! And we're very cleverly running and taking cover from my shots as I also ran and took cover from the shots!
Why the hell does it feel like I'm playing COD in third person when I'm playing a resident evil game??

Seriously Capcom seem to have messed up! It just doesn't feel like resident evil at all! Disappointed.

The new demo features a lot of changes, all for the better.  You obviously played RE5 on one of the easier difficulties only if you're complaining at ammo everywhere, which voids most of your complaints.  If you played Professional without infinite ammo turned on you'd soon find ammo problems, Desperate Escape on Pro for example, where no infinite ammo cheats to turn on.

In all honesty it wasnt too much the amount of ammo that puts me off, although it did contribute. But Its the lack of atmosphere in the game and that lonely vulnerable feeling you got with the first 4 games. Also why are the zombies jumping around shooting me with Automatic machine guns. I shouldnt have to be taking cover and popping out to shoot the zombies, It felt more like a third person shooter rather than a Survival-horror.

Ill wait to see what reviews it gets and then if there good (as in 80+) then i will get it but wait till it drops in price.

Is there a way to split screen co-op?

It was ok. I thought Leon's and the other guy's was good, but Chris' was too shooterish.

I am glad its crap, now i dont have to buy it

I don't think it's crap. I think it's being completely trashed before it has had a good chance to prove itself. I think it's a game where the creators are trying new things. Some may not be to our likings, and that is why--at this point--I would buy it when the price falls to $30. I've played most of the Resident Evils, and now I find myself comparing the new one with Dead Space 1 & 2 (not 3). Before, I used to compare similar games to Resident Evil.

I only felt disconnected because I didn't care for the new characters. If a good story can really tie them together, I may pick this up at retail price. However, the intro of drunken Chris and his military buddy was so cheesy and so not interesting that it has drop my expectation for the story as a whole.

It's still Gears Of Evil in that, it's not really Resident Evil. I played the original game when it launched and fell in love with the franchise. Starting with RE4, it's been a different game with the name Resident Evil, and it's characters, taped on. I think RE6 will be good, if you like Gears Of War or shooters but if you're looking for a true RE game? You're going to have to dig out that old PS1 and play the originals some more.

I hope one day, Capcom returns the series to what it once was.

A demo pretty much is Capcom's elected opportunity for Resident Evil 6 to prove itself. That ship has sailed, and then it got caught in a hurricane and sank.

Only got to play Leon's part so far. RE5 was hugely disappointing compared to RE4, but I was getting high hopes for RE6. Unfortunately the demo was boring. And frustrating. I felt like I could never see well, mainly bc the camera was zoomed in so close that Leon's body was blocking a significant partion of ur field of view.

Aiming felt difficult as well. A major annoyance that stood out was the fact that unconscious or sleeping zombies couldnt be killed until a specific moment where the game has them wake up. It seems like it was done for cheap scares, and it's unrealistic and annoying.

Also sucky was the fact that I couldn't find a list of the gameplay controls/button map in the pause menu. I didn't catch all the controls when they flashed them on the screen before starting the demo, so not being able to pull them up was pretty frustrating.

I'm tempted to just skip RE 6 and save my money for the Doom 3: BFG Edition, which will be released two weeks later.

I was pretty hard on RE5 for being all action....so with RE6...I LOVE IT!!!! though the series has basically turned into and TPS horror-action the game just seems so fluid, and finally the knife is USEFUL!!! knife+melee=bad-assness

from playing the demo I will have a blast playing with Jake Muller!!!
