Where are the games?

in the factory being stomped to discs as we speak.

Next gen graphics games.

where were the next gen gfx games when 360/ps3 launched? As per my video upload previously.

Resistance: Fall of Man, Perfect Dark Zero.

If PS4/720 came out with slighly better looking versions of PS3/360 games it would be very dissapointing.

Honestly go and play perfect dark zero now, and then load up modern warfare 3 or halo reach and think of the leap between them. it is like a generation gap on the same system.

Thats not the point, the point is that PS2 couldn't handle a game like Resistance: Fall of Man but so far PS360 can handle any game shown for WiiU.

And another thing: 6 years ago developers had to learn to program with multicore chips, HD outputs and so on, the leap to HD was hard and specially hard on PS3, developers now have all that knowledge and experience but so far there's no true next gen graphics game on WiiU if at least they announced Star Wars 1313 or something but so far nothing.

Did anyone actually bother to read the article? LOL.

The article doesn't say anything specific about the Wii U GPU's performance, nor does the Unity guy say anything about the Wii U GPU in comparision to the 360/PS3. The guy who wrote that headline should be slapped upside the head. Completely misleading, just looking for cheap hits and he suckered a lot of people into it from the looks of it.

Title is misleading, the quote doesn't actually say that at all. He says that they will allow devs to possibly implement the features that were added in Unity 4. A lot of Unity 4's new features are features that are not applicable to consoles like multithreaded DX API calls and batching which consoles really don't use. A lot of the other stuff are features that have been used in lots of PS360 games such as Iterative lightmap baking, 3D texture support, deferred lighting etc. The only true DX11 "exclusive" feature they added was tessellation.

Check out my hype threads: Cyberpunk, and The Witcher 3!

Honestly, thinking that Wii U is not more powerful than PS360 is...well, bit silly. PS360 have GPUs that are, more or less, on par with something like ATI 5550, so Wii U's GPU is way more powerful. But what article states is that Wii U will support Unity 4, and all it's features...well, they'll see to it "potentially". While I really like Unity, and think it's marvelous engine for lower/mid cost projects, it's simply nowhere near what new "next-gen" engines are/will be able to achieve, specially if Microsoft and Sony have listened to what engine makers have been asking for. So, while I think that Wii U may be (conditionally) called "next-gen", I'd say it's bit too early to conclude will it be able to stay in that category, or will it be Dreamcast all over again.

All shader model 4.1 GPUs can run shader model 5 code, they just do it poorly.

Tease.

Didn't Crytec state they were able to to some effects on current gen consoles that should only be possible with DX11?

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

Some people see there's nothing graphically superior with the Wii U launch titles compared to what's currently in PS3 and 360, but forget that these are launch titles. They should look back to the launch titles of the systems and compare from there. It will only get better in time as is the nature of console cycles.

Correct and btw it is launch titles that run with twice the resolution and also feed the tablet that has SD resolution  so yeah 1920x1080 + 854x480  is TOTALLY on par with for example Black Ops 1 on PS3 that runs at an AMAZING resolution of  960x544......

ENOUGH SAID :)
