I don't think it really matters.
Wiimote was revolutionary as an input device sure, but it also mostly invited an avalanche of shovelware crap.
Wiimote in a lot of ways is the first big step for gaming towards virtual reality, but this is 20-30+ years off from being the experience people really would want it to be.
Wii U is more traditional, but still has Nintendo TVii, Miiverse, and hopefully a better balanced library.
I don't care if Wii U isn't the novelty the Wii was. I want better games and a better balanced library, gimme more announcements like Bayonetta 2 and Wonderful 101 and I'll take that.
