Didn't someone here say S3 was projected to sell around 20-30m alone this year? vs. maybe 50 for iPhone 5? Then we count the other expensive Androids, of which there are really only 5-10 "major" ones each year, not thousands or millions.
Android phones seem to be making huge in-roads that's for sure.

20-30k in 7 months... iPhone 5 is set to shell 30k in maybe 1 month or 50k this year.
What are you talking about? In fact it's obvious who sell more.
The iPhone 5 will sell more than these 5-10 "major" Android.

Do you know what the others sell?
My point is that Samsung seems to be making huge strides each and every year and I wouldn't be surprised to see them surpass the iPhone with a single model in the future.

I guess you are a bit wrong... the market share of Android was increasing before iPhone 4S release... after that the iPhone grow up again and the Android lost market... yeap last year Android lost market to iPhone.
Now the same thing will happen (or not).
And we know Samsung account for more than 50% of Android sales... the last Q the Android sold 100 million units and 50 million is Samsung (~10 million Galaxy SII).
