The USA- the only country that cuts taxes despite being massively in debt! Plus they have 5 fingers for some reason!

What is the GOP doing to try to win moderates?  It is "Obama sucks" 24x7, andf nothing really to appeal to independents.  Pretty much now, one could argue both parties are trying to play to their base, while making the other side seem to be spawn of Satan.  It is now get voter turnout up for your side, and get the middle sick of the other side.

Bill Clinton is awesome, as always.

He brought up the facts and kicked ass.

I still think it is somewhat comical in some senses about the democrats talking about the" Republican's war on women" and yet they had Clinton of all people at their convention. in that sense its a bit ironic.

There is a bit of a difference between Lewinski and banning abortions under every single condition, cutting funding to programs that help women and a dozen other things.  Just because Clinton may of had or has issues, doesn't change GOP policy.

Your actually quite wrong on that one.  If you study the moderate/independant vote you'll actually see "Obama sucks" plays to the independent vote quite well.

At least the way the Republicans are doing it.

One of the biggest breaking factors for independents is thinking the incumbant hasn't done his job.

Attack adds can be for moderates and indepentants... but it's how your frame it.

In general the these groups tend to be socialy conservative democrats, and socially liberal fiscaly conservative types.

Essentially Democrats who mostly are democrats but religious, maybe pro life or at least uneasy about abortion, more likely to own guns then the average democrats... and in general conservative on a number of social issues.  God and Jersualem tend to mean a decent amount to these guys.

Then the fiscally conservative liberals, which range from Libretarians to Clinton Democrats.

The Obama camp seems to be going out of their way to annoy BOTH of these groups.

If invoking Clinton is a sign of desperation, then the DNC was one huge exercise in desperation.

"Hey guys... remember when I was president? Those were good times, huh? Vote for Obama! (But not really, because I want Hillary to win in 2016.)"
