+ it's just a fun little game that some people like to play. Not your thing? then don't participate, ignore it, like you do with 90% of threads anyway. Again, I understand that it can be annoying if there's loads of them, but with that word game there was only 1 on the hot topics page. I don't see how 1 of these threads every now and then is a big deal. At one point there was like 3 a week, and that was rightly addressed imo, but that shouldn't mean we can't have any at all.

If the mods tell us once or twice a month is cool we'll stick to once or twice a month, no problem.

Lol, Posters are just doing what Mods approve of. If mods make post the user above you threads then posters are going to do it. If other posters are allowed to make spammy threads then other users are going to do it. The Word game was made originally for one reason. Because veteran posters were being allowed to make spam threads when I was denied. I will not say who because I like him. I did it originally for spite! Machina blocked me for half a year from doing a simple voting thread on 90's movies. So you all got hit with spam threads from hell. You need to be fair and consistent across the board. If new members cannot troll then neither can expert troll veterans. If new members cannot spam then neither can Mods or veterans! If you are not willing to ban half the FUCKING site You two above then shut the fuck up! You talk about what you want to happen but no one in their right MINDS would evar allow you to be mods because you would literally turn this into communist China and destroy the site!

We do not need another NEOGAF. Site is hella busy right now, and you two want to bring it back to Hell like it was last year. Every thread has thousands of views every thread is busy. Get a clue you two!

Mods, site Admin, ioi! Look at the forums. They are booming. Listening to these two will cause the site to crash! Losing these two posters will not hurt the site. Ban me I do not care, but do not listen to these two guys. They know absolutely nothing about Vgchartz in 2012.

Nothing! We had this argument before and the site has only gotten busier since then. They are wrong and I am right. Proof! Have Pineapple do another "How busy is Vgchartz " Thread if you need anymore proof.

But, I've only ever seen this reasoning, that the threads don't "help" the site. How do they hurt the site? How does increasing your post count in anyway hurt other users or hurt the discussion in other threads? Have the users complaining ever thought that maybe...just maybe many users enjoy such silly and pointless threads once in a while even though they can't?

Even though he got banned for this, the substance is meaningful here. Some posters I have noticed just want to be negative about the community and aren't contributing themselves, so why should they have a considered voice?
