The first years, how about majority of the years and still ahead lol. Wii got MH before and didnt do much lol, except beat the PS3 again that same year lol. Thats not what i am saying, what i am saying is Sony doesnt have much to compete with, again ask the Vita. You werent even apart of the original post lol, what i said was MH combined with what NInty already has will doom Sony for next gen. Those games are going multiplat while Nintys 3rd parties have been announced for Ninty platforms only. This is precisely how Microsoft took the US from Sony by making their games multiplat.

Well, Wii was only slightly ahead in 2009 and 2010. 2006-8 was where the difference was big. Now PS3 has won 2011, will win 2012, will win 2013 as well and who knows how many after that?

Yes, yes, sony doomed and all that jazz. You do know that PS3 didn't have a proper MH and still did well? It's in a much better state than wii at the moment there, despite the lower userbase.

Lol you really are that desperate, when it wins in 2013 who cares lol, the deficit wont be anywhere near the deficit the Wii put up on the PS3 from 2006 - 2008 and thats still 5 years the wii won to only 3 for PS3. By the end of 2013 the PS3 will still be not only behind globally but still in Japan as well so fail again. Still did well compared to what? The wii has been selling poorly for 2 years now and is still ahead of that failure so no its not doing well at all. You Sony fans just have low standards, just ask Sony and the Vita.

I see... so this is what western capcom wanted to tell us.

Sony messed up MHP3 HD for the PS3, so they went and took it to the Wii U. I expect this to be MH3 HD with online play... jeez, guess now i have to look into getting a Wii U sometime...

And lolz at them sony supporters trying to devalue how important this is. If it was on the PS3 or Vita the same people would be throwing huge parties.

I don't know about that...

On the one hand, that would be a portable MH, which are much more popular than console MH. On the other, it would be releasing on a portable with a very low install base, but then again, so would the Wii U port. So I'm going to say no.

I'm going to say that the first year Wii U hits the market it will outperform the first year of PSVita, hardware and software wise. 

So it could end up being a significant title. More in Japan of course. 

It is much more popular on handhelds you say ? Well, Wii U is a pseudo handheld under any Wii U wifi range, so you could look at it as the ultime home-portable Monster Hunter.

Bold: No...PS3 already got an HD port of a MH game and really, like I said, MH isn't very popular on consoles. Vita however, needs something like MH.


You didnt read what i said. The reason why MHP3 HD didnt come to the west was because Sony refused to adopt the same ad-hoc firmware they use in japan, but leaving capcom with a game they couldnt release. This has been confirmed by capcom. Sony droped the ball with capcom and capcom is giving them the middle finger now.

But what does that have to do with the sales in Japan?  That's what Pezus is talking about, I think.  The game did release in Japan and it sold... well, it sold fantastically, but for a Monster Hunter game it sold poorly.

I mean, 500k is definitely nothing to be sniffed at, but MH is a juggernaut on handhelds and decent seller on home consoles.  If you consider Portable 3rd sold nearly 5 million on the PSP and managed 1/10th of that on PS3, that's the point we've been getting at.

But anyway, I'll leave it there for now.  I mean, it's definitely a huge draw for the Wii-U, regardless of whether it reaches the handheld numbers.

Truth be told, Tri on Wii U sounds far better to me than Tri on Wii or 3DS.
