Why would they have the price down in America for a late 2013 Japan focused game? I meant that it won't effect the "console wars" in any way in Japan.

Lol yea it would. You realize that means MH, DX, Mario, and Wii series against Sony's first party. Sounds like a walk in the park for Ninty. Just take a look at the 3DS vs. Vita lol.

So you are saying to disregard all 3rd parties and only buy 1st party titles (and Monster Hunter? lol)?

No what i was originally talking about is, the 3rd parties left over will not help Sony and its first party because the remaining big guns have been takin by Ninty. For example the Wii had Mario, MH, DQ, and Wii series and beat the PS3 giving my statement weight. Lets not forget the DS which didnt need MH and still smashed the PSP. I never said only buy first party games, what i said was there is essentially nothing left besides Final Fantasy that can top Nintys line up.

Easily countered with PS2 and PS1 yes but definitely not PS3 and PSP. The PS1 and PS2 had the two of the franchises I named(DQ and MH) and pretty much every other 3rd party game. All Ninty had was Ninty lol during those days. PS3 and PSP are not counters since what i was arguing Sony cant top that line up, if anything they are proof Sony cant compete since the PS3 lost to Wii and PSP lost to DS so no. Vita is just plain a disaster so yea i definitely have a point.

The first years, how about majority of the years and still ahead lol. Wii got MH before and didnt do much lol, except beat the PS3 again that same year lol. Thats not what i am saying, what i am saying is Sony doesnt have much to compete with, again ask the Vita. You werent even apart of the original post lol, what i said was MH combined with what NInty already has will doom Sony for next gen. Those games are going multiplat while Nintys 3rd parties have been announced for Ninty platforms only. This is precisely how Microsoft took the US from Sony by making their games multiplat.

They have plenty of support and still got beat, what makes matters worse is the game that sold the PSP is now gone and rumored to be hitting the WiiU before the Vita lol. The PS3's big sellers are going multiplat or dont do much anyway. DQX has definitely helped the Wii lol and last i checked its still ahead of the PS3 so whats your point lol?

I hate to crap all over this thread, but why are we getting so excited over a rumor that only happened back in August 19th? As nothing more has been said about it, we don't even know if we're getting that very same title. Nor will Japan, for that matter. The scan from Gamestop looks pretty fake to me too.

Monster Hunter is not a Monster in Home consoles.



PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m

Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m

What don't you understand? 

1. This is a fake rumor

2. MH isn't that relevant on consoles

3. Even if this rumor was true, this is a port of a Wii game...

4. DQX boosted Wii up to 40k for a week. That is...low, to say the least for a DQ game.

5. Your argument was and is that Sony is doomed. Sony isn't doomed, even if it sells less than Ninty in Japan. Japan is almost irrelevant for console sales at this stage anyway.

1. I never said it was true

2. Relevant enough, its sells more in Japan than majority of the games you named the PS3 has

3. A port is enough to beat Sony, ask the 3DS and its port of MH

4. The Wii already has a massive userbase, how much was it suppose to boost the Wii a nearly dead platform

5. Irrelevant for console sales lol, w/o Japan the 360 would be even farther ahead of the PS3 than it already is and the Wii would be alot closer to the 360 so no try again
