people hate nintendo because most of them this days grew up on playstation and they ignore the fact that NINTENDO IS THE FATHER OF TODAYS VIDEOGAMES.

Woooow... U know that not every single game they make is gonna change the industry, right? Besides, Nintendo not only made one of the most successful IPs this generation (which also change the industry), I'm talking about Wii Sports (Wii franchise in general) but they also revived old franchises like Punch Out!!!, Dk Country, Pilotwings, Kid Icarus, Sin & Punishment, Kirby 2D and Mario 2D. They brought us the games no one else can make w such quality like Mario Galaxy 1&2, The Legend of Zelda, Golden Sun, Pokemon, Metroid, Animal Crossing, Wario, Fire Emblem, Batallion Wars, Mario Kart and Super Smash Bros but they also gave us new IPs w great quality like Excite Truck/Bot, The Last Story, Xenoblade, Hotel Dusk, Disaster: Days of Crisis, Endless Ocean, Rhythm Heaven, Starfy, the Touch Gen games like Nintendogs! And thanx to their Systems, we have great games like The World Ends w You, No More Heroes, Red Steel, Silent Hill Shattered Memories, The House of the Dead overkill and many more!

I 2nd what MUGEN said, I never understood why people would see some devs saying "Wii U on par or a bit better than PS360" would be something negative, especially since we have seen anything from the actually system that suggests otherwise

I don't hate Nintendo, I'm just disappointed in them, because I think all the most impressive games are coming from other people nowadays, apart from a stellar 3d platformer every few years.

Oh but region lock on the 3ds was an asshole move....decisions like that could make me hate them, one day.

That only proves that the Wii U is more powerful though.  If Wii U is on par with PS360 games and "maybe a bit better" then that means 1st gen Wii U games are equal to or slightly greater than 4th or 5th gen PS360 games.  So what would 4th or 5th gen Wii U games look like? 

So, not a monumental leap, but a more powerful piece of hardware for sure.

If the rumors of AC3 running at 60fps and 1080p are true, this argument will be deaded once and for all.  We just have to wait and see.

I don't believe there is any more negativity for Nintendo than for Sony. I see criticism for Sony everywhere, from the Move, to Playstation All-Stars, to continuing references to the PSN debacle. You can throw a cat and hit criticism for the Vita. Comments that the PS3 is a failure because it won't sell as many units as the PS2 are posted somewhere almost daily, despite how childish that argument is, and how childish it will be for anyone who says the same if the Wii U doesn't sell as many units as the Wii.

Microsoft gets less hate, sure, but the 360 dominates in the west, and it's a western company besides, so that's kind of understandable.

However, some Nintendo fans seem to be highly defensive, with a few even having something of a persecution complex. Worse than that, however, is the attitude of some fanboys that liking Nintendo makes them pure or special. It does not. There have been a few arrogant and conceited statements in this thread already that imply that people who don't like Nintendo franchises have something wrong with them. Personal taste is personal taste, and liking or disliking one genre or style is nothing more than that.
