Forums - Gaming - Worst game you have played and why?

did a search, couldn't find a thread like this, so I have to ask:  what is the worst or most disappointing game you have ever played and why?  Everyone knows my answer to this, so I'm curious to see what you folks think about the topic.

@runa, actually I don't know your answer to this...

Anyway, my vote goes to Age of empires 3 & Turok (2008) for the sheer fact that they were massive disappointments. Because of the awesomeness of their predecessors I was expecting nothing short of brilliance...and what I got was 2 utterly shit games

Most Disappointing:

Uncharted 3. I don't know why, but after an hour of playing it I was so bored I turned it off and to this day I haven't picked it back up. It's weird to me because I loved Uncharted 2, and I can't explicitly tell you what U3 does that I dislike so much. I guess I just felt it was even more linear and pushing me through corridor stories.

Worst:

Call of Duty: Black Ops on the Wii. My brother and I played through the story mode together and even though we took turns every so often, I still developed a major migraine and felt literally sick after just 2-3 hours of playing with my brother. It was so repetitive and mind-numbing that my brain literally couldn't handle it. This is especially notable because I generally do play games for hours on end and this is the only time this has ever happened to me.

Mine is easily Final Fantasy XIII, but anyone that interacts with me on a regular basis knows this.  Mostly becuase I feel the game failed in everything but it's graphics and sound, and the issues are compounded by the fact that the Final Fantasy series has dominated my 'top 10-25' lists for as long as I can remember, and Final Fantasy Vi is my single bestest favorite game ever.  Even the FF games I didn't love were still damn good (X-2), but XIII failed on every level that counted.

I also feel halo is Overrated, but it's a good game.

I'm very curious to understand why, in a world of so many disappointing sequels, that Uncharted 3 won your vote.  I mean, I agree, it wasn't as good as Uncharted 2 (mostly due to the fact it was evident that they made the action scenes first and wrote the story around it, but you didn't get to those parts.  Plus it had graphical glitches), but I'm not sure why you didn't like it so much.  I definitely thought it had the best story of the series.  curious, very curious.

If you wanna chat about it, we could maybe get to the bottom of it!

Worst game that pops into my mind atm is Tomb raider: Angel of darkness.
I didn't want to believe all the negativity around it, platforming and exploring tombs should be fun as always. Since then I say fuck spoilers, I'll read the reviews first. Now I'm very cautious about the latest TR reboot, no day 1 buy.

Possibly Izuna 2: The Unemployed Ninja Returns. Never finished it, and i've never before or since seen a 2D DS game with slowdown problems.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Metroid 2: Return of Samus is probably the worst game I have played, to begin with it has utter crap soundtrack and the gameboy could do some decent soundtrack as Super Mario Land had, heck I even enjoyed SML2's ST. The concept of killing 40 something metroids is too simple and boring and the game has probably some of the worst controlls that I have experienced.

The reason it's my most disappointing is because I was really looking forward to it. I went to the special pre-release even with my friends at this movie theater in L.A. and got to see the game in action as well as play the multiplayer part of the game. I got the game 2 weeks before release because of that event. I then started playing it at home the next day and only after an hour or so I got so tired of it I just didn't want to play again. Like I said, I'm not entirely sure what the main cause was.

Uncharted 2 was by all means very linear as well, but for some reason it felt like Uncharted 3 was even more scripted and linear. It felt like I was just walking around and pressing X constantly until Drake found what he wanted, or running straight forward and pressing X to activate jumps and cool moves. I suppose it just felt like I wasn't really personally doing anything, and therefore it wasn't stimulating my mind.  Even though Uncharted 2 was so linear, it always felt like you were stumbling across the right path by accident. Uncharted 3 made me feel like it was literally shoving me along that path.

I'm aware that by only playing a bit over an hour of the game doesn't necessarily give me insight into how it plays later on, but it was enough to severely turn me off from the game.

Oh, it could also have been due to Battlefield 3, which I was addictively playing on my PC and still do to this day. I guess it felt hard to justify putting down Battlefield multiplayer for Uncharted 3.

I cant remember the titles, but I used to pay a lot of browsers game.
