I thought the story was stupid. So I didn't play it.
Well, if there´s a bright side to this, guys....it´s a great game, but at least you get to avoid some very high frustration, and maybe you don´t feel like breaking your computer because you died for the 100th time (in that Ornstein/Smough fight >_>)
What a shame. It makes me sad that developers do not take advantage of the PC =(
Apparently someone named Durante made an internal resolution fix for Dark Souls PC

A German modder made a resolution fix for Dark Souls in 23 minutes.
Who wants to tell me that From couldn't do that
Now here's a comparison of Dark Souls with and without the fix. (From NeoGAF)

With the fix:

It's a bit longer than that... he said he was doing stuff in advance (and he probably got a pirated copy :P as those were available prior to release on steam).
But still less than 1 week which makes it perplexing because it looks really great. (why wouldn't from software want the publicity of a game that looks really great, you know grow their fanbase on PC? instead of turn people off so easily, obviously enthusiasts will follow the fixes but they've already lost some sales due to the pulicity)
The only thing is the blood stain messages supposedly don't appear but the modder says that will be fixed soon.
Well I doubt you even know how to program so you shouldn't speak so fast. Also this info was realease I think almost a month ago. There are almost no game programers in Japan that make games for the PC. So this is one of the first Japanese developers to try and make one on the PC. I am not saying it is going to be good, but there are reasons why it isn't great, it's now like they tried to make it crappy. And if you already have it on the console why would people expect that you would get it for PC.
Now I just need to find a way around Scamco's ridiculous regional pricing...
