Obama was able to pass a healthcare law that wasn't without flaws but a step forward nonetheless. It's kind of hard to get anything done with a split congress and such bold party lines.

He passed that with a democrat controlled congress though.  The first two years of his presidency the democrats controlled both houses.  Honestly, i think the timing of that health care law was terrible.  Mid recession is not the time to be inacting health care reform.  I think that is my biggest problem with obama so far, he went after health care instead of the economy.

Personally, I am not excited about either option this year.  I was all for Obama 4 years ago when he ran on a platform of hope and change.  However, very little has changed and the changes havent always been better.  Now, Obama is running on a platform of look how bad this guy is, I can do better than him.  Isnt that sad?  Shouldnt he be talking about the change he wants to bring?

Now, I'm not saying romney is much better, his platform is the same as Obamas.  Basically, my question is does Obama actually deserve to be re-elected?  If so, why isnt he telling us why?

1) This is usually the case whenever some promises things like 'hope and change'

2) From what I've seen, that is a common basis in America, espcially amongst the Republicans. I remember in 2008 the bizarre TV apperances Sarah Palin where seem said barely anything to do with the election and did shout-outs to random segments of the country. That was in addition to the 'Don't elect Barack Hussein Obama' thing the Republicans ran. One of the most ridiculous and pathetic things I've ever see come from any political party.

Lol, its because palin actually didnt kniw anything.  She had almost no experience and mccain didnt properly vett her.  However, i think mccain did a pretty good job of talking about substance and solutions, he just mostly dealt with foreign policy as that was his strong suit.  You'll notice that obama hasnt actually done most of the foreign policy things he said he would, instead he has mostly followed what mccain said, thats because mccain knew what he was talking about.

Of course, 4 years ago i thought mccain was an idiot...

I'm not American, but given the options, and the fact that George 'Dubya' Jr had two terms, I'm gonna go with yes.

As a non American I would say no. But Romney is also not really an attractive option. I admit I dont know a lot about their national plans. If I had my way Obama would edge it.

And yes, those voting 3rd party are wasting their vote. Voting for the losing guy with no chance is the equivalent of staying home and not voting. Personally, i most likely am staying home as I live in utah and the results of my state are already decided. If they didnt have the electoral college system i might be more inclined to vote. I dont know why they dont do popular vote...

You have a very bleak outlook on voting 3rd party. For me, it is a statement against something that I don't approve of. If I vote for Romney or Obama, I am saying that I approve of whichever one I pick. But I don't. Therefore, I won't vote for either one. Part of the reason why 3rd parties never do well is because everyone thinks that it's throwing away your vote. You should vote for who you think will do the best job, not just the lesser of two evils.

I usually avoid politics and religion but honestly it sucks it always having to come down choosing lesser of the... Should've known Ron Paul wasn't going to win. I would rather him be re-elected... . ..

I live in Texas so our electoral college is going to Romney no matter what, but I would say he is my preferred choice out of the two. Obama's had his shot, and accomplished next to nothing. Time to let someone else have a swing.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

yeah i agree, if you vote for one of the big two all the time, nothing will change. the way is see it, eventually so many people will get pissed off with them both, they will actually vote for who they want, and they could well win. What if it turned out millions, wanted to vote for Johnson, but didn't because they fought it was a waste, he well could of had a chance of winning. Elections shouldn't be so predictable with just 2 "choices", they should be many!

Prediction: Switch 2 will outsell the PS5 by 2030

None of them deserve it.

They all seem to be somewhat horrible in their own ways.
