Sorry, but this is not a good rumor. It makes no sense.

Intel over IBM?
Back to Nvidia?

No... just no.

I'm not even going to put this in my main thread as it simply makes no sense.

MS would lose ALL backwards compatibility, again, and then having to go down to an Intel Atom chip vs a Power7 chip??? Not going to happen. It also flies in the direct opposition of all initial rumors with IBM and AMD components. I'll wait for a new rumor to bite on and simply call this one way too much in left field.

My point exactly they would not go back to Nvidia after they got screwed over by them on the orginal X-Box.  Also backwards compatibility is a must since it increases the change of most 360 users upgrading to their next system its more important now then it was before since the orginal X-Box had a much smaller user base.

hot dang...I'm surprised this leaked before the ps4 stuff 0_0 sony is losing their touch

on a serious note, nvidia bit is surprising. But sounds like a strong piece of hardware for sure. Next E3 is gonna be sweeet

The Nvidia bit makes it bogus.  MS got screwed over big time by Nvidia on the orginal X-Box.  Also backwards compatability is very important so I'm sure they stick with AMD/ATI.

Well maybe they just got a better deal overall from Nvidia...if sony is also going with AMD, I'm sure Nvidia was in a position to be rather, generous.

Huge RAM is the best thing, whatever architecture they choose, but Intel+NVidia brought miserable failure to XFlop 1.
I smell another fake.
BTW POWER proved many times to be the best CPU architecture for home consoles, both in the lower and higher end, not to mention back compatibility, that sticking to POWER can be obtained without additional CPUs or having to write and optimize emulators.

Wow, that's an impressive kit. I can't wait to see what games optimized for the hardware will look like. With that said game assets are going to cost as much to produce as a blockbuster movie budge.

Its BS MS is not going back to NVIDIA they are never working with them again. Since they got screwed over by them on the original X-Box. Also it looks like Sony is going to drop NVIDIA for the next console also so all three next gen consoles are going with AMD/ATI.

This is a good thing IMO because it means all three next gen consoles will have similar CPU/GPU architecture for developers to work with, so you'll run into less problems with multiplatform releases like the ones we have now with many 360/PS3 games.

I believe the next gen of consoles will be the first to be almost completely homogenized, just like most mass consumer electronics are, and the only major differences between each console will be a handful of unique features and gameplay options like the Wii U's touch screen controller or the Kinect 2 for the 720, and of course their exclusive content.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

^^Wow!!^
nice fake pic dude!
:D

The screw job Nvidia gave MS on the original Xbox was the major reason that it A) lost so much money and B) was discontinued so quickly. I can't see the next Xbox having an Nvidia GPU.
