Hey, leave Jim Sterling alone. His review was incredibly solid, and he praised it. His review sold me on it, even! I don't care if it's unoriginal; I just want it to be fun.

I think you guys get hung up on scores a touch too much. That's why Metacrtitic is bad, because people see the scores; and if it's below 85 it must be terrible, even if 99% of the reviews praise and love it...

Don't worry, I was only being sacristic. The review is really good. Just wanted to draw some attention in.

I know, I'm just talking in general about Metacritic and Sterling. People take it too seriously I fear :/

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

I know, I know. This is somewhat spoilers in a way, but I really wanted to post this. Has the level design (or asset) been used in a Mario game before?

Lol, that's right! If you take that 42 score (the worse I've ever seen) the game almost jumps at least 2 or 3 pts up!

Hate seeing bad math like this thrown around.  People always seem to overestimate how much difference taking out one bad score would have.  You have to remember that there are 75 scores included in that average.  So no it doesn't jump up at least 2 or 3 points, it goes from 83.22 to 83.76, a little more than half a point up.  And how much it would change the metacritic score is actually less than that because I highly doubt that GameShark is weighted above the average for that list so it would have less of an effect than it usually would.

Yeah, sorry. I almost did the math, but got lazy. Lesson learned, thanks.

But at least that awful red bar would be gone.

Just chiming in to say the game is awesome!
But too easy so far.
I'm only into world 3 and have already over 100 lives. :P
Collecting coins is a lot of fun.

7's are well-above average games that definitely have an enthusiastic audience within their *genre*. Some might lack replay value, could be too short, or has are some hard-to-ignore faults. Nevertheless, the experience is still very fun.

A 7 from Jim is a very good score.

I am proud to say that New Super Mario Bros. 2 DOES include new music! However, I can not reveal where this new music is located, but I can say it is brand new!
