Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo "on track to become primarily a software company"

This track must be pretty damn long then because Nintendo is walking it for 15 years already!

I totally trust someone who only plays Zynga game to analyze the gaming industry. Nintendo can't doom soon enough.

If Nintendo went 3rd party, they would just be another EA.

Another big chain of studios, but it will not have any impact on the other companies. Call of Duty and Halo etc will still sell and Ubisoft will still flourish with their casual/core offerings.

I just do not see which console they would ever support though....

Leatherhat on July 6th, 2012 3pm. Vita sales:"3 mil for COD 2 mil for AC. Maybe more. "  thehusbo on July 6th, 2012 5pm. Vita sales:"5 mil for COD 2.2 mil for AC."

EA veteran and investor Bing Gordon, this right here should make most of what he states void. To invest in a company that hasn't seen profit in years doesn't really qualify you as someone that knows how to properly predict the gaming market. Also, I don't think Zynga's stock is doing too hot right now.

There's no doubt they could fall but it would have to be one hell of a fall for Nintendo to go third party considering the money they've got in the bank.

They didn't fell enough for you last year?

Nintendo cash reserves fell from $10bn to $5.9bn in the 12 months to March 2012, that needs to slow down dramatically.

Check the nintendo financial's thread.

I'm curious, what document is it that said this, and where could I find the doc? Do you have a link?

Check Kowenicki's thread: http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=145669&page=1#

The document he linked me towards for that data was http://www.nintendo.co.jp/ir/en/library/events/120427summary/index.html

I don't really understand any of it but hopefully you can get some use from it!

Honestly you can ask everything in that thread about Nintendo financials.
