Honestly third party should fear the day Nintendo becomes third party....

If Nintendo goes third party won't they make less money? If we assume they sell the same amount of software on rival consoles, their returns per sale will be lower since the console isn't their own. I really only see them becoming 3rd party if consoles die altogether.

Nintendo games have a heavy focus on tight gameplay. Touchscreen controls can't provide this so porting Nintendo's best games as apps would be terrible.

Nintendo will be fine. If any console maker will go third party, it will be Sony. Nintendo consoles can survive on first party alone, unlike it's competitors. Never underestimate Nintendo.

It's funny that no one is saying the same of SCE, a company that has much more possibilities of going third party, due to economical reasons.

There's no doubt they could fall but it would have to be one hell of a fall for Nintendo to go third party considering the money they've got in the bank.

well looks like i'll be buying a few wiiu's for christmas presents to kick of the sales.

I honestly think Nintendo should release some of their stuff on the iOS, but I don't believe they will unless the 3DS is dead.
