Lots of my friends and co-workers didn't enjoy the film as well. They called it boring, not having enough Batman and that it wasn't as good as TDK. They liked the last twenty minutes of it, but they struggled to watch the rest. A couple of my female friends/co-workers enjoyed The Amazing Spider-Man a whole lot more than TDKR; I too enjoyed it more than TDKR. The love relationship was actually developed and engaging, Peter Parker's character development was great, and the fights were nicely choreographed.

Before the movie released, I was already planning on buying it on blu-ray. But now, I don't know. I really have no intentions of watching it again.

Also this.

The movie is boring as hell.

Elaborate please. Was it because it was long, too dark (not enough humour), not enough action or what? I found it anything but boring. I was completely entranced the whole time.

The movie tries so much to tie elements from the first and second movies with the events of this one just for the sake of having a big conclusion, but it was not necessary at all, making it too long and slow paced.

Batman is supposed to be an a$$ kicker so you would expect that the movie has lots of fights, but nope; it has only 4-5; and the fighting performance of Christian Bale sucks, he is way to slow.   The first Batman vs Bane fight was like..."ook, mmm....thats all?" Batman may not be as strong, but he has way more experience so I expected a better fight.  Bane in the comics defeated Batman because Bane was HUGE!! but now that he is a common mortal, the fight should have lasted more, and should have portrayed the difference of the abilities between the 2 characters.

And the last "plot twist" was really stupid.   It was not necessary at all, because the story by that point did not needed that to make it more interesting; in fact I think that it even makes the whole story even worst.  It seems that the director wanted to have a plot twist somewhere so he just put whatever came to his mind.

It was very dissapointing.  Too long, too slow paced, story was not good enough, characters are represented in a weird way, fights sucked.    The only way this movie could be a 10/10 for some is if they have been HYPER HYPED for the movie, so they are "OMG, OMG, OMG", and everything shown has the effect of LSD on them.     As an action movie per-se, it was not bad, but not great.  The good elements were the big explotions, some moments that pretend to be epic, a good soundtrack that repeats itself over and over again, cool gadgets, beautiful actresses, and the moment when Batman has the will to step up to the challenge.

For me it is a 6/10

I just got back from TDKR. Its thursday...it was sold out, it was awesome and everyone clapped at the end of the film. The last film I saw in theaters where everyone clapped at the end was Bourne Ultimatum about four years ago, on opening day. This is a week after release and people are still cheering on the greatest comic-book adaptation ever! What a *********fjk***ing end to a trilogy.

It's also a bad thing too because any comic book movie that has a similar tone to TDK trilogy will just fall short (suspectedly).

The film didn't have to try at all to tie elements from preceding entries. The storyline was very well thought out and had 3 or 4 flashbacks of Bruce Wayne in his childhood. The thing I'm most surprised about is how well done Bane's back story was, but then...it wasn't Bane and it didn't matter because it still set the tone while still playing with your mind. It's a Christopher Nolan movie.

I can see why you'd think it was slow paced but it's OK for a movie to take the pace a bit slower, just so long as its not dull which this movie never in a heartbeat was.

Batman is not supposed to be an @$$kicker. He's an idea meant to enforce law for the good of the people. He doesn't just go around kicking random people's butt for the sake of it. Instead he gets broken, picks himself back up, escapes an impossible situation, risks his life in so many moments; all in the name of what the bat-suit stands for. That's Batman.

About Batman being slow. Bane doesn't feel any pain. The more times you hit him the faster you wear yourself out. The more shots you take the more chances you miss and the more punches you miss the more energy you use up considering it takes up twice the amount of energy to miss a punch than to hit your target. Your logic about hitting Bane faster doesn't add up since the punches wouldn't affect him and we all know Batman's rule about guns.

Nobody cares for a comparison between a comic book and a movie. Everyone knows most things won't match and that's ok because Bane in TDKR was AMAZING!!!

The plot twist at the end made complete sense to me. If you backtrack everything Talia did in her storyline everything adds up. You have to have that conclusion to a character or why have that character at all??? It was very well executed.

The only reason why someone would give this movie a 10/10 is if they thought it was a 10/10, no reason to look beyond it. Its actually quite easy to accept an opinion if you try just as I have accepted yours.

I don't see how, some of the scenes were somewhat pointless. It would affect the movie by being shorter. I did say 'half', in majority of Marvel's new films I was entertained. Entertained enough to watch it again, I laughed in comedic parts and enjoyed the action sequences. In this were was nothing to laugh at just good action sequences and a great villain.  I would have prefered more Batman in it, as there wasn't much.

So yeah , Marvel films were better because they were more entertaining.

I laughed at Bane, Catwoman, Bale, Freeman and even Caine. Laughed a few times at The Avengers but I don't judge a movie by the number of laughs I have. Even if I did, they would be close to tied but the jokes in TDKR were more memorable to me.

Agree to disagree then. Thor, Captain America, Incredible Hulk were all incredibly forgettable films. Good popcorn flicks, but I never once thought about them afterwards like I've been doing with TDK and TDKR.

Then we must have seen a different film, I can't remember a single joke Bane made. I don't judge a film by laughs but it's a matter of what you expect. Last week I saw The Hunter, a very emotional dramatic film, well acted with a simple yet strong story line slowly being revealed during the film. Few laughs but a great film. It's exactly what I expected. With this film I expected a few, I remember a few from TDK, but hardly remember any from this and it was last week I saw it.

This said maybe that's not what they were going for, they were going for a big epic masterpeice of film making. Well thought out plot, good action sequences etc. It was a very good film, delivering much of what they wanted but struggled in certain places. And certainly not enough Batman.

While I do love me a good comic book film, what have I got to say really? My username is a Captain Britain enemy and I am a Marvel fanboy.

Hmm, pie.

*Spoilers*

Seen it today, a decent movie. Although I think Bane could have gotten a bit better death scene, because it wasn't even that epic! But the ending was okay, somewhat expected taking into account the whole superhero happy ending thing. Much preferred Joker as the villain, but Bane did a decent job, although his voice acting was annoying as hell.

I don't know how people see the plot holes, I never seem to see them and just enjoy the film for what it is, not really thinking much into it.

Interesting to see what will happen next, whether he'll try to use Robin as the main character or will reintroduce Batman and use Robin as a sidekick. But I called it at the start of the movie that cop was Robin, just seemed weird to concentrate so much on a random police officer, and the whole speech Bruce got when he visited him.

Good movie, but not as amazing as TDK in my opinion.

Nolan will not be doing another Batman movie, that's for sure.

Hmm, not sure if that's good or bad. TDKR seemed a bit worse off to me than the previous iterations. Hopefully some new director with great potential picks it up.

Banes death may not be epic, but Catwomans dialogue & style as soon as she killed him was epic & got cheers in my audience.

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

If Warner Bros are gonna use "Justice LEague" to introduce the new "Batman" then they're doomed and have gone back to making absolutely stupid decisions with their comic book properties.

Before they can go the Justice League route, they have to make sure their Superman reboot is relevent to the audience.

True, Man Of Steel is an extremely important movie from them. I hope for their sake at the least they don't screw this one up.

I don't have much faith in WB or Snyder though. Nolan producing the movie & Goyer writing the script is the only reason to have hope.
