Forums - General Discussion - 19 and still a virgin.

So, probably a quite commonly discussed topic here on VGC, although I am not sure how many 19 year olds there are on here. Nonetheless, I've never had a relationship before, primarily because I never really wanted the hassle of having one until I got older and they've become meaningful, so now I am behind on everything pretty much, other than pornography I haven't even glimpsed a naked girl in my life.

Which brings me to this dillema - a 25 year old girl at work, who is pretty damn hot and a friend of mine has made me an offer of being friends with benefits. I've agreed to that offer.. We've proceeded to get drunk etc, but in the end she found it too weird since we are pretty close and we didn't end up doing anything other than kissing and fiddling. So that got me thinking long and hard (no pun intended) is it weird to be at this stage of my life with zilch experience to my name? Is it my fault for waiting so long to have a proper meaningful relationship rather than asking girls out on the whim? I feel like I've missed out on lifes great experiences, and not sure how I'll go about the first time it does happen..

Not weird, but some think it will be. First experiences are typically awkward and embarrassing, just drink a bit and enjoy it, mess around. Just think that ever other time will be even better. Don't wait on it now, go for it whenever you can - with her or someone else!

You're doing better than I did. Didn't lose mine until I was 21.

Yeah it's weird. I work as a waiter, so quite a lot of the time girls seem to come onto me, and I just don't have the confidence to play on that. I say that because I see it through the typical body language or abnormally large tip for a small table, two girls left me a £5 note on a £20 bill. So I guess I should have played on that lol.

well, trust me, don't even think about the negatives. There are some (mainly just stupid nervousness or embarrassment), but they do NOT outweigh the positives. Not by a long shot. So never let the negative reasons be a reason why to not go for anything like that on a whim.

If you have to I would be just mildly drunk to calm the nerves as well as having a visible "excuse" so to speak for not performing as well.

I am a virgin an I am 17.  I've met a lot of nice girls recently!  Speak with all your female coworkers and women you see!  Hang out with them more often.  The more girls you hang out with, the more likely you will find a girlfriend and have a serious relationship.  I was so shy before, I couldn't even have eye contact, touch a girl or even talk with them.  Now, people at work call me the Casanova because I talk with all the new girls there xD

I don't care anymore about my virginity as I used to do.  But if it's really a problem for you, stop complaining and go meet some new people!

Sorry for my bad English btw!

21 and still counting :(

Somehow I remember you mentioning this before. If I could remember Organic Chemistry like I remember random VGC trivia, I would have graduated with a 4.0.

OT: You're asking if you've missed out on life experience at age 19? You're about to leave your awkward teenage years and enter your dreadful 20s. You have so much ahead of you. Frankly, you should be less worried about your previous lack of experience, and you should be preparing for an awesome, sex-filled decade ahead of you. Go for it.

That is true. Since I started working I've grown a lot more confident, and interact with girls all the time. Now that brings me to the big problem - all of them seem to friendzone me by default. Not sure what it is about me, probably too nice to people. But yeah, I've made a lot more female friends at work - including the one that offered the whole friends with benefits thingy majigy.

Mm, legitimate point. Turning 20 in 2 months, not sure whether to look forward to that or not.
