The best advice for anyone feeling insecure about being a virgin? Get into good physical, mental, and emotional shape, and quit the porn. Get out and socialize a lot, hit up as many parties and gatherings as you can. When you feel like you look nice, and you feel like you can talk to anyone, that's where your confidence begins. Use that bit of confidence to meet girls, then use that contact with them to gain you more confidence, etc. And keep in mind that self-improvement can be very attractive, so figure out some personal goals and do it up.

Sex can be fun, so if that's what you're looking for be safe and go crazy. If you really don't care about doing the deed, there's LOTS of fun stuff you can do with other people besides just the big one. There's nothing wrong with waiting for someone special to be with, just know that in the meantime it can be fun to mess around, too.

Lack of motivation, honestly. Part of the issue is that by age 16 or so i largely stopped caring. I want to date in the way that i want a nice apartment, e.g. it would be nice, but it's not a particularly burning desire, and such was the case in Japan. I'm not anti-social, but I am asocial, comfortable doing less.
