Weren't you living in Japan? Why didn't you take the chance??? They love Westerners there, you don't even have to try.

Lack of motivation, honestly. Part of the issue is that by age 16 or so i largely stopped caring. I want to date in the way that i want a nice apartment, e.g. it would be nice, but it's not a particularly burning desire, and such was the case in Japan. I'm not anti-social, but I am asocial, comfortable doing less.
