Forums - Movies & TV - The AMAZING Spider-Man Thread -- Soo who's seeing it? **Main Theme Added**

Saw it today.

I thought it was great, Garfield is a much better Peter Parker than Maquire IMO, and I've always prefered Gwen to Mary-jane. Acting was solid, action scenes were well done, CG looked really nice... the only problem I have, and it's a big one, is it felt rushed. I don't know what the running time is but I feel like it should be at least 30 minutes longer.

Saw it about an hour ago and I did like the movie really much. I can't say for sure if it's better than the other 3 but, some parts where better and some worse, for example I liked the soundtrack of the firts three better than the soundtrack in this movie. Another example is that I prefer Toby as Spider-Man, more than this guy (forgot his name). This is just preference, just thought that this new guy's acting was a bit off at some points and I did not understand some parts, in the movie. Will not name them, as they are rather big spoilers.

Is that really so? I've seen a few reviews who mentioned they stretched the first 15 minutes or so of Spider-Man (2002) into half a movie

It's following a different story, (gwen) and they glossed over a lot or hardly spent any time on some things that they should of. I have no idea what those reviews are talking about.

Early estimates place this at a $35m opening day, which is a record for a Tuesday opening, second was transformers with $27m

Watched it two days ago. I always liked the previous spiderman movies ( only part 3 was meh) but the reboot is by far the best spiderman movie yet. First i liked Andrew Garfield much more than Tobey, second Emma Stone is much preatier than Kirsten Dunst and from a technical standpoint the movie is over the top. And the Lizzard as a enemy is by far the best enemy yet. And the action scenes were really great.

The only issue the movie had is the opening. Its way to long until Garfield got his powers.

I would give the movie a 9 of 10 points.

I saw the film yesterday...it is very very very very good!! I recommend it to everyone!

Andrew > Tobey by a mile

I blame that on your age!

He's a much more accurate spider-man. He feels like the Peter Parker in the comics, and his chemistry with Emma Stone (Gwen) helps.
