Forums - Sony - Vita's Call of Duty Black Ops: Declassified - First Info!

I'd like to see cross controller play, imagine this... What if you're in a tight spot, you have a camper pegging you down, So your asking your clan member to help out, "He's behind that rock". "what rock?" your clan mate yells, So on the screen of the vita, you just zoom the map in, pick the spot and it highlights on your teams map, showing everyone where the camper is. Imagine kill streaks, controlling a missile, RC car, Remote cameras. Sniping using the vita as your scope. Setting bombs. There's a lot that can be done with this. It could push a lot of people to buy a vita.

It sounds like it's going to be similar to unit 13 just going though levels.

That's just the Spec OPs mode.

Go back and re-read the info, it says it includes MULTIPLAYER.

I don't know about this one. I could see it bombing or selling like crazy.

If they market it perfectly, enphasising it's CoD on the go, can play with your friends, etc., then many kids and teens may want it and it may become a phenomenom similar to Pokémon.

Or people may just not give a shit about CoD on the go and it could sell less than Uncharted and AC3:L.

I'm really looking forward to seeing what happens though.

Well they won't be marketing it towards kids. If its anything like the other COD games, it'll be Rated-M.

Which one will Activision market more? Black Ops II or this Vita spin-off? I say Black Ops II....but if Sony is lucky, the Black Ops II hype will rub off on the Vita version.

I was obviously talking about the single player.

No Story mode no buy

yeah multiplayer that is stuck to wifi... so you'll pay $50 for a game that is basically a similar experience you already get at home... and you have to play it at home.. at least the best part of it.

I'd stick to the $60 home console version, hell wait a couple weeks and get the home version for $50.

This is exactly another example of why Vita will fail. While there are people here and there who'd buy this, its not mass market potential. Its not going to sale to the massive COD base that puts COD into the industry leading sales.

It probably won't reach 500.000 in sales, definitely not 1m. (life, not initial)

I've got wifi on all of my school campuses. I've got wifi access when I have to wait for an hour at my lil sister's dance practice. I've got wifi access at all of the places I go out to eat with friends or alone. I've got Wifi access when I'm sitting at an airport waiting for a flight. I've got wifi on my toilet, where I can't quit play PS3 without relocating it for the trip and putting it back in my room when i'm done. I don't have it when i'm walking... but I can't use my vita when i'm walking. It's really ackward for me. Same with all portables. Even if it's making a call on my cell phone I have to stop walking and dial the number, start talking then continue to walk. I'm sorry your village is somewhat primitive but that's not the case for everyone.

And the single COD on PSP sold 2M. This one has been getting way more attention and the COD franchise has only grown since then. I think 500K won't be a problem.

4 ≈ One

eh since it is going to cost 50 im not buying.

i will buy this game. An extra 10 bucks won't hurt me
