You're acting on a lot of assumptions though. I can do the same to spin the sales way better than they actually may turn out (some super awesome bundle or price cut). We really don't know how 'exclusive' the experience is, but we do know they keep mentioning how they're making this game to suit Vita owners. It's not a console game ported to the Vita.

Absolutely and if my assumptions are wrong, then I'll be flat out wrong. So far my assumptions with Vita, in general, have been right.

Read the description for the game again. Tailored for the Vita means that they designed it to be a portable experience. If it is good, it will sell well. Most people play their handhelds at home anyway. don't they?

idk. I don't own any handheld beyond my phone. (had Vita been a phone then that would be different)

My kids play there DSi everywhere but more so when we're leaving the house. At home their gameplay is on the portable only when they get a new game.

this thread is a perfect example why it is absolutely not possible to have a decent vita discussion thread outside of the official thread. Take notes you who bitch about official threads

I'm out

Nuuu, don't leave, you could make this thing not suck!

Me?  I'll definitely be buying it, probably review it, too.

My Console Library:

PS5, Switch, XSX

PS4, PS3, PS2, PS1, WiiU, Wii, GCN, N64 SNES, XBO, 360

3DS, DS, GBA, Vita, PSP, Android

I like that they're building ground-up versions of franchises for the Vita. It makes me much more likely to buy one than just having a straight port of a console version. I wonder who is developing it.

I also think this sounds good. Having shorter spec-ops missions rather than long campaign missions is a much better choice for a handheld. With zombies, this may be enough for me to buy a Vita (LBP will be out by then too :D)

I wonder if they'll change the playstyle of multiplayer a bit to make the online matches a bit shorter. Perhaps faster gameplay? Or just no long-ass ground war modes. Who knows.

I reckon it'll sell well too. It's definitely going to shift Vitas for a few weeks, which is what Sony will be after.

Vita has ad hoc play like the DS, and i don't see being restricted to wifi as an issue. I'm sure plenty of people wifi their PS3 and the Vita has an excellent built in wifi.

I expect sales to be a bit beter than AC3:liberations this holiday season, needs a bundle though. I predict CoD Vita sells 1.5 to 2 million this holiday.

Comparing it to the PSP version isn't that meaningful anymore. The CoD explosion happened in 2008, the fan base since the PSP game has expotentially increased. Despite the larger install base the Vita will be moving units during the holiday and this title will be one of the first games people buy up.

Who wants to see a white Vita AC bundle right next to a zombie CoD black Vita bundle? Gold mine.

Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(

I said probably not and definitely on 1m. Last time I bet on a probably, I lost lol. So, I'll stick to my definite only.

I think I'd be willing to take that bet, maybe with a stipulation accounting for digital sales.

This is going to be huge, imo.

For most Vita owners it'll be a must buy. Userbase matters less with games like this.

The only thing that could hurt it a lot is if reviewers murder it. But hard thing to happen, looks like it has high production values (due to the price) and being a new game.

It's very easy for it to get killed in reviews since we have no clue who Activision gave this game to, the only thing known it's not Treyarch.

Treyarch is confirmed to do this game. Ill try to dig up a link.

This game will push systems, no doubt. WiFi or not dosn't matter, it won't stop people from picking up the game, it's going to do far better than anyone here give it credit for. Its' going to be ever bit as playable as the PS3 version, which the DS and PSP system could not match, not to mention that the games looked and played like Shit. This is a real call of duty on the go.
