Forums - Sony - Vita's Call of Duty Black Ops: Declassified - First Info!

This is going to be huge, imo.

For most Vita owners it'll be a must buy. Userbase matters less with games like this.

The only thing that could hurt it a lot is if reviewers murder it. But hard thing to happen, looks like it has high production values (due to the price) and being a new game.

1. It does

2. I think the general idea is that this will boost hardware for vita

1. So hopefully this game will utilize that.

2. I don't think so. I think the mass COD consumer will spend $10 (vs $350) and get it on their home console as playing on wifi restrictions is still too limiting.

Its going to take a few BIG first party true exclusive experiences to make Vita take off as is OR a significant price drop. Unfortunately Sony doesn't seem to provide the exclusive experiences like Nitnendo does with Pokemon and other portable experience only titles and they simply couldn't afford a significant price drop on the hardware.

I'm not trying to be overly negative here either. Just pointing out my opinion on what a portable needs to be highly successful.

I think a handheld needs to pass the "playground test" to be succesful. The test of course is getting kids to play games together on the playground. Nintendo did it with Pokemon on gameboy, they did it again with NSMB and Mario kart on DS- sony managed to do it in Japan with Monster hunter. This could be the vita's way of passing the playground test with ad hoc spec-ops and zombies. And before you say it, yes, tons of children play CoD.

Ask me about being an elitist jerk

Time for hype

Vita games are $50?? i thought it was 40

No Vita game should cost $50...

That right there is a mistake and the reason why I would not touch this game.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

Only one other was 50 - Uncharted

It was the best selling game also. I don't really think it matters that much.

It's very easy for it to get killed in reviews since we have no clue who Activision gave this game to, the only thing known it's not Treyarch.

Former something....

I dunno... 50 seems kind of expensive for me.

this thread is a perfect example why it is absolutely not possible to have a decent vita discussion thread outside of the official thread. Take notes you who bitch about official threads

You very well could be right. The zombie mode is really fun. Its the reason why I'm probably going to buy the game on either my Ps3 or WiiU... hopefully WiiU.

Actually it was more of a rethorical question... like "will it be big or big". I know it will be big.

But I agree, one person was negative. No reason to say the whole thread is  impossible to work.
