More simple way.

Why i can JUST compare January sales numbers of PS2 in 2001 with January sales of PS3 in 2008.
I just comparing NUMBERS. Because new year started.

IF, numbers of ps2 and ps3 are close, is THAT a BAD thing FOR ps3? Because PS2 sold in 2001 around 16 mln.

So, WHAT`s wrong with you guys? =))

p.s. so, if PS3 in 2008 will FOLLOW PS2 numbers in 2001, THEN WHAT?[ =)))

Final Fantasy X - around 2 mln. with 5 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Final Fantasy X-2 - 2.4 mln. with 12 mln. PS2 on the launch.

 

1.8 mln. PS3 today(2008.01.17) in Japan. Now(2009.04.30) 3.16 mln. PS3 were sold in Japan.
PS3 will reach 4 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 25k.

PS3 may reach 5 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 50k.
PS2 2001 vs PS3 2008 sales numbers =) + New games released in Japan by 2009 that passed 100k so far

I THINK, that PS3 sale numbers in 2008 will follow PS2 numbers in 2001.
For NOW PS3 numbers of January 2008 are very close to PS2 numbers of January 2001. It`s a FACT.

One thing that makes those numbers skewed in the PS3 favor is the fact that the PS2 was severly supply constrained heading into 2001.  PS3 did not share that problem.  Lets get a little further into 2008 and see how well the PS3 in 2008 compares to PS2 in 2001. I think you will be disapointed.

Ok, maybe PS2 could sell MORE then 16 mln. in 2001, BUT, if that a BAD thing, IF ps3 will sell around 16 mln. in 2008? =))

I think you will be disapointed.
Then what will dissapoint you? good ps3 sales? =))

Time will show, just for the records my optimistic prediction for Europe in 2007 WORKED.

I can't wait. If the Wii doubles that number it should do double for the year using that logic. As I suspected, Crazzy is a Sony hater that secretly disseminates information to make the Wii look better.

I DON`T CARE about Wii, BECAUSE it won`t HAVE:

MGS4, FFXIII, DMC4, GTA4, CoD4, Burnout5, SO4, VF5, SC4 and etc.. Why would i give a damn shit about Wii?

It can sell 500 mln. console. It still won`t get those HD games.
The only competitor for PS3 is x360, that the only system, that can run some games in HD.
