If the Entertainment Division was its own separate company the taxes they paid on the $357 Million would not exceed the $357m. I believe that the tax rate for that amount of income is 35% so the tax paid would be ~$123m.So Net...
@DarkNight_DS,Sorry MS reported all segments with just Operating Income they are not trying to hide anything. Would there be taxes on the $357 million? Yes, but the taxes would not be higher than the income. Believe that the Top Federal Tax Rate for Corporations is 35% so taxes would be roughly $357million multiplied by .35. Still a healthy profit....
At a certain point, probably the week before Christmas, Nintendo returned to shipping by boat. The numbers from Nintendo are shipped and those include every Wii shipped up to December 31st. Most if not all shipped that final week of December (And probably most of the final 2 weeks of December) were shipped by boat and were sold in January to consumers....
